Nestled in the quaking aspens, this log cabin is one of a kind. The cabin is next to Hyatt Lake, and is surrounded by alpine meadows. Please inquire as to the lake level, as it has been at record low levels due to dam maintenance. However it is currently (12/2023) at a good level and continues to rise! During the winter months, Hyatt Lake is a winter wonderland with a developed sledding hill with bathrooms, warming hut and fire pit. During the summer months, there is fishing, biking, hiking, and many outdoor activities. The PCT is 3 miles away. The home is located 35 minutes out of town. Ashland is home to the Shakespeare Festivals and other wonderful events. The adjacent cottage is also available in the summer months for an additional $75 per night plus cleaning. This has a queen bed, and a bathroom with shower. Simply advise us if you request this cottage, and we will adjust the amount total. Thanks! The home is a beautiful, family oriented, vacation home. Not a weekend party place. Please respect this, as that activity is not permitted. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing cabin! The location is perfect and the cabin itself is so cozy. We spent Thanksgiving there so we could see some family members that live in Ashland. We had an amazing time playing board games by the fire and taking walks around the lake. It was pretty cold at night, but the cabin was very well heated and we never felt cold while we were inside. My kids LOVED sleeping in the loft bedroom - the set up was perfect for our family! Overall, staying here was such a great and memorably experience. We would love to visit again!

Beautiful cabin. Was disappointed that certain amenities weren’t provided like coffee or shampoo/conditioner. There was a tin of decaf coffee and 2 individual packs of folders instant that appeared to just have been left by previous guests. Not enough to caffeinate 6 adults. Seems odd to not have them available when you’re paying 900 for 2 nights. If you aren’t providing these things and the nearest store is 30min away, you should make sure to let your guest know they need to purchase in advance. Also note that the “3rd bedroom” is beds in an open loft so it’s not private. Overall would stay here again for the beauty of the cabin and the location.

This cabin and its location are so relaxing and welcoming. Everything we could have wanted or needed were on site. Communication with the owners was clear and quick. We just never wanted to leave. This was our second stay and we can’t wait to return. Also, an item was left behind and the owner contacted us immediately and made arrangements for its return. We are beyond thankful for the kindness and generosity. Thank you!!

Everything was great and we enjoyed the use of the cabin. Well appointed as we did not have to bring anything unexpected. Directions (address in the link) were off by one property and thus made it a little confusing when we arrived. Went nexy door and tried to access the key in their lock box which did not open with our code. Finally figured it out and went next door. All in all, it was a great place and we truly enbjoyed the cabin feel.

Myself, two sons, grandson and great grandson spent a long weekend at the cabin. The cabin is spacious, lots of interesting decorations and well equipped. We cooked almost all of our meals and the cookware was adequate. The cabin is on the Hyatt lake shore and we had several walks to observe the abundant bird life. Cabin is reasonably close to Lake of the Woods and other local attractions. Downsides include a wasp nest off the back deck that stung my son several times. Also the main shower water pressure was poor. Water kind of dribbled out making it a challenge to shower. Overall a good cabin and we would definitely consider staying there again.

We loved this remote home-- great for relaxing, birding, reading, cooking, playing games, etc. If you like to hike and swim in lakes- this is a great location. You need to plan ahead for food, because there is basically one restaurant nearby (pizza, etc.). We spent a day at Crater Lake which was incredible. Went into Ashland a couple of times. Driving home at night after a play- be careful, we saw a bear on the road and lots of deer. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at this Cabin. It's very private with large yard and short walk to the Hyatt lake from the backyard. We happen to be there on a clear night with no moon and got to see sky full of starts and captured some great milky way photos. David was quick respond to all questions and needs. Would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a getaway. It would be good if owners can provide a cooler during summer months as it got pretty hot during the daytime when we stayed.
