Ashland, Oregon
Nestled in the quaking aspens, this log cabin is one of a kind. The cabin is next to Hyatt Lake, and is surrounded by alpine meadows. Please inquire as to the lake level, as it has been at record low levels due to dam maintenance. However it is currently (12/2023) at a good level and continues to rise! During the winter months, Hyatt Lake is a winter wonderland with a developed sledding hill with bathrooms, warming hut and fire pit. During the summer months, there is fishing, biking, hiking, and many outdoor activities. The PCT is 3 miles away. The home is located 35 minutes out of town. Ashland is home to the Shakespeare Festivals and other wonderful events. The adjacent cottage is also available in the summer months for an additional $75 per night plus cleaning. This has a queen bed, and a bathroom with shower. Simply advise us if you request this cottage, and we will adjust the amount total. Thanks! The home is a beautiful, family oriented, vacation home. Not a weekend party place. Please respect this, as that activity is not permitted. Thank you.
Cabin was cozy and delightful. Bed was comfy. Check in was easy and we had a great time. Would definitely stay again if we were back in the area.
Amazing location great property
Unfortunately, we were unable to take advantage of David’s property due to a change in family plans related to the fires and smoke in the air. David’s communication was prompt, friendly and helpful and we hope to reset our plans and stay in the very near future.
A welcoming place of rest and refreshment. The atmosphere and amenities make this a truly special place that we hope to return to again!
This place was perfect to rest and relax after a lot of driving. I didn't feel the need to go anywhere while I was there.
This cabin is dreamy. So lovely, quiet, adorable, functional, easy, we loved our stay. It is a bit of a drive outside Ashland, so plan better than we did and stay put mostly. We drove into town most days, and while not too far, it would have been more relaxing to stay put a few days. Gorgeous views, relaxing space, easy living. We hope to return.
The location and property were amazing. We had plenty of outdoor property for kids and dogs to run around, with plenty of outdoor activities provided to keep everyone occupied. Hyatt Lake was just a short walk from the house down a mowed path, and we enjoyed time at Howard Prairie Lake as well which was just a short drive away. We made one trip into the town of Ashland to get all of our groceries, but any last minute items were accessible at either the Howard Prairie Recreation Convenience Store, or the Hyatt Lake Resort Convenience Store. The house itself was extremely cozy, and all guests mentioned that all beds that were slept in were comfortable. We would love to come back and stay.
We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin and surrounding property are beautiful. The cabin is very well appointed with comfortable furniture and the kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you need--better than my home kitchen! David was a very communicative host and easily reached. We hosted our wedding at the cabin and it was absolutely beautiful. We loved the lawn games provided. The cabin and property are thoughtfully set up to provide numerous spaces to relax and spend time together. We hope to be back!
One of the nicer cabins we’ve stayed at. Cute decoration. Good kitchen, heated tile floors, and fireplace we didn’t expect to need in June. Selection of games, videos, and cd’s. Host was great to work with.
This is our 3rd time staying at the property and we love it! Plenty of space for the family, great views and close to sledding hill. David is also quick to respond and very helpful with any questions we have. Looking forward to next years trip.
Our family enjoyed our stay very much. We were able to enjoy the snow and build some awesome bases for our snowball fights. Warming up next to the fire was perfect. We took full advantage of the sledding hill near by and was able to hit the ice arena in Ashland as well.
The property listing was very accurate. This cabin gives you all the cozy authenticity with a lot of amenities to make your stay pleasurable. Our only remark is that the thermostat didn't seem to work - the heat is either ON, making the loft very warm to sleep, or OFF, leaving the lower level cold for some (some people prefer to sleep in colder temps). Even with the heat off overnight, the temp only decreased to 64 C overnight, a very comfortable sleeping temperature in my opinion.
A lovely, quiet, little cabin with beautiful aspens all around. We really enjoyed our stay.
If you are looking for a true cabin look and feel this property is the real deal. This is a place to go when you want to get back to basics.
We had so much fun as a family at this sweet, adorable cabin that was truly perfect for our family! Everything needed was there for us! We will be back for sure! The owner/management was AWESOME Diahn
The cabin is fine. Furnishings are dated and not so comfortable. It is basically a two bedroom, unless you want to sleep a cot in what amounts to the middle of the living space. Location provides easy access to the PCT but for any other activities be prepared for a 30+ minute drive.
This property is beyond beautiful and the owners are very helpful and accommodating!
We enjoyed 4 nights at this beautiful log cabin! The kids had a blast playing badminton and volleyball. Weather was perfect! Thank you so much for the best family get away we have had in a while. We plan to return as soon as possible..
Our family was able to come together to celebrate 2 birthdays over the 4th of July weekend in this fun cabin. The house had most everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing weekend together. Great outdoor space for games, fire pit, and room to roam. Well appointed kitchen and just an overall great atmosphere for a family get together. Thank you!
Great place to stay! Will definitely be back!
