Stayed Jan 30, 2026We LOVED this house! It was beautiful, spacious, well-appointed and immaculate. We had a large family visiting for our son’s birthday. He’s a student at Syracuse and the house was a convenient drive to campus. The owner was great and very responsive. We had a slight water issue that was addressed within minutes of contacting her. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Stayed Dec 30, 2025Our family greatly enjoyed three days and nights at Hummingbird Manor over New Year’s Eve 2026. Our group included two grandparents, two adult children spouses, and five grandkids ranging from 3 months to 7 years and the house accommodated all of us comfortably. Our stay coincided with a major winter storm, so we didn’t use the outdoor amenities, but the interior more than made up for it. The home was immaculately clean and very spacious. As a former bed-and-breakfast, every bedroom has its own private bathroom. The kitchen was “ginormous!” according to our oldest grandchild, with a large island, two sinks, and a dining table where all ten of us fit comfortably. The 3m-old was the center piece! The family room TV had all major streaming apps, allowing us to watch NYE celebrations live from London with the kids. We also enjoyed a fabulous multi-course dinner prepared on site by a Chef Andrew Alise, whom I highly recommend.A few practical notes: the family room was chilly during winter, but closing the pocket doors warmed it quickly. Wi-Fi was strong throughout the house; we did experience streaming hiccups on the family room TV. The home is on a septic system, so there is no garbage disposal, not a big deal. Finally, the host, Debbie, was outstanding. She was extremely responsive and flexible, especially with weather-related concerns.Overall, we highly recommend this property. We imagine it would be delightful in the summer given its proximity to town and the water.

Stayed Dec 12, 2025This is a beautiful home! The host was very communicative. We knew ahead of time what we needed to bring (what the house had for us and what it didn’t.) We had easy access to the home. It was very close to downtown Skaneateles. The beds were comfortable! The kitchen is huge! The driveway was even plowed for us after a snowy day.

Stayed Jun 12, 2025The house was exceptional! It was very comfortable and we had plenty of room. We all liked the fact that every bedroom had a bathroom. We would seriously consider returning to this place. Plus it was close to Skaneateles, which we liked.

Stayed Apr 17, 2025Enjoyed the house and location immensely. Every bedroom room had its own bathroom which was super convenient when you have a large family gathering. The large kitchen was very accommodating as well as the second refrigerator. The entire house was immaculate. You can’t put a price tag on cleanliness!Super close to town for restaurants, shopping and just walking around downtown. The large grassy yard was nice for the grandkids to run around whether they were kicking a ball or blowing bubbles. The traditional Easter egg hunt for the grandkids and for the adult children lived up to expectations as the house offered a large first floor layout.Lastly, Debbie (the property manager) was super responsive and even made suggestions for things to do in town. All around it was a great VRBO experience.

Stayed Feb 14, 2025We stayed here for a girls weekend - everyone felt that they had their own space and having a bathroom for each bedroom was wonderful. The kitchen and dining area is very open and an easy place for all to gather and talk. Would definitely rent again if back in the area.

Stayed Aug 8, 2024This was our first trip to Skaneateles and we absolutely loved it, largely because we had such a nice play to stay. The house is clean, and was plenty large enough for our group of 3 adults and 3 kids (could easily fit many more). The kitchen is well stocked, the bedding and linens are comfortable and in great condition, and communication with the owners was very easy. Highly recommend!

Stayed Jun 24, 2024The house itself is magnificent and clean. I would recommend anyone staying in the front bedrooms to bring a sound machine/fan due to traffic noise interrupting sleep. The grounds are just plain, the only amenity is a fire pit, but lots of room for pets/games. There is also more than one blow-dryer (the description says 1), so no need to pack more. 1 mile to town but it is not walkable. The hosts can arrange free parking in town which was very nice. We highly recommend taking a dinner boat cruise!

Stayed May 24, 2024House is beautiful and so comfortable for an extended family gathering! We were there to celebrate a graduation and everyone had to get ready and leave the house super early at the same time. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was critical! The house is beautifully decorated. The spacious kitchen and eating/living areas comfortably accommodated our big family meals and game-night! Big backyard for football and frisbee games?. We barbecued and ate outside on the picnic tables. Super close to the town for walks by the lake, shopping and eating and house had great restaurants, mini-golf and ice cream practically next door. Highly recommend—we had a fabulous experience a made great memories!
