Huge dog friendly castle with ocean view decks 5 minutes to the beach

This home was way more than we expected or hoped for. It was a beautiful, well-supplied, excellent place for our 5 families and 5 dogs to come for a family reunion. The views were astounding, and one of our members was a rock hound who happily spent most of his time hunting for rocks and checking out tide pools! Having 5 balconies and all the bedrooms divided between 3 living areas gave everyone plenty of private spaces. The hot tub was wonderful as well! The only negative was all the steps to get to the bottom parking area and to the actual beach proper, but that was not the problem with the house- it just gave us more exercise than we were used to :)

Really nice place and location. Great views and plenty to keep busy on the one bad weather day. Perfect pet and child friendly place. Minor issues were promptly addressed and very timely. Only noted improvement would be to replace grills and clean the draws and cabinets in the kitchens a bit better. Neither were show stoppers for the large group. Fun was had by everyone.

We quickly noticed upon arrival that one of the beds had not had the sheets changed. There was blood and what looked like semen all over the sheets and duvet cover. This was the worst of it but a few of the other duvet covers had also clearly not been washed and there were large stains on the carpet in all three bedrooms of the lower unit. We spent the first two hours of our stay cleaning sheets, mattress pads and duvet covers as well as getting a hold of Vacasa. They brought new sheets that evening but refused our request for a late checkout or any compensation for the hassle and disgusting start to our stay. The grossness of this incident really tainted our stay and it was hard to imagine that the rest of the place was clean making it hard to relax and enjoy the property.

We loved the location and accommodation. Fit our family well while we were there for difficult circumstances. Entry into one of units was not working & since most of us didn’t even have cell service made it difficult to contact. Finally my husband’s phone worked. 2 of the units have ant problems and using taro is not taking care of it, need professional assistance. Bedding should be updated. The few things that weren’t the best circumstances did not take away from enjoying this property immensely. Well maybe the ant situation haha, I absolutely hate them ?

The only problem we had was getting into the units. The codes that were given us were not usable and without having a savy family member engineer we would not been able to access any of the units.. We did call and we got someone to get us into the main unit and explained to us that the codes were not correct. But except for that we had a marvelous time and each unit was well equipped and comfortable.

The house was very comfortable, and the view was gorgeous. It would have been nice if the master suite was available.

The property location was terrific, the house was just so-so, bordering on not OK. Lots of condition issues, including windows, dishwasher, bathroom fixtures that were broken. We paid a premium price for a sub-par accommodation. We’ll come back to Oceanside but won’t be renting this home again.

This lovely home on the Oregon coast was perfect for our family holiday gathering.

Excellent views of ocean and arch rocks and a spacious, open common area in the main unit for all of us to gather for meals and gaming. Separate units upstairs provided a space to get away when needed. Less than 10 minutes walk down hill to beach.
