There’s only one thing more precious than our time, and that is who we spend it on. In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it can be surprisingly difficult to carve out meaningful moments with those who matter most. But in the end, it’s those shared laughs, heartfelt conversations, and quiet moments together that truly make life rich. Making time for nothing more than ‘togetherness’ has never been more important — and what better place to do just that than Hudson House on beautiful Chincoteague Island.

We’re all about making memories that will last a lifetime - and Hudson House itself is a treasure trove of memories. This Historic Home was once the home of Ira Hudson - an iconic Chincoteague Carver. To this day, his workshop is on display at the Chincoteague Museum, always a ‘must-visit’ during your vacation.

What you may not know, is that this special home has been totally remodeled and is simply stunning. Combining the quintessential Chincoteague Charm you love, with the Modern Amenities you need, this beautiful home truly has it all. Located on Church Street, you can easily stroll to Historic Main Street, Shops, Dining, the Fishing Pier, and the Waterfront Park. And you're only steps from our famous Farmers' Market! Close to everywhere you want to be, but you’ll feel a million miles away from reality.

Adorned in Colors of Sand and Sea, Hudson House’s new interior is warm and inviting. After a fun-filled day exploring Assateague National Seashore, kick back in the spacious Living Area and enjoy Flat Screen Roku Streaming TV and Free WiFi. Or curl up in the Reading Nook with a good book. With pale grays and floors reminiscent of a beachy boardwalk, it’s both modern and rustic at the same time.

Just off the Living Area, the Kitchen will thrill the Chef in your family. Featuring Stainless Appliances, a 12 foot gleaming Granite Island, and every gadget imaginable, it’s the perfect place to hang out and share stories of the days’ adventures. We are so in love with this Custom Backsplash and Tile - so striking! You can dine here at the Island, at the Dining Room Table that has 2 leaves for expansion, or Al-Fresco on the Screened Porch with seating for up to 8 while taking in that salty sweet sea breeze. Enjoy your morning coffee on the Front Porch Swing as you watch our little island come to life each morning.

Hudson House sleeps 9 in 4 Bedrooms and has 3 Full Baths. On the 1st floor, you’ll find 2 Bedrooms. The Master Bedroom features a King Bed with Luxury Mattress and Flat Screen Roku TV. The Private Master Bath is crisp and bright with pale grays and white Subway Tile, and a Tub/Shower Combo. Bedroom 2 is very cool with a Queen Bed, and another Roku TV. Also on this level is a 2nd Full Bath with gorgeous Blue and White Subway Tile and Granite Vanity.

Wandering upstairs, you’ll find 2 more Bedrooms and a 3rd Full Bath. Bedroom 3 has a lovely Antique Bed that is actually original to Hudson House - the mattress, of course, is new! Finally, Bedroom 4 has pops of fun Coral and a Queen Bed with an Extra Long Twin Trundle. The upstairs Full Bath is beyond amazing with rich nautical navy and crisp white - but this flooring - stunning Nautical Stars are so spectacular.

On top of fabulous indoor living, Hudson House is a blast outside, as well! The spacious fenced-in yard has a Fire Pit surrounded by comfy Adirondack Chairs - marshmallows, anyone There is plenty of room for everything from Cornhole to simply hanging out together. There's a fabulous Outdoor Shower for rinsing off after a fun-filled day at the Beach, and you may never want to leave the Screened Porch!

Hudson House rents Sunday to Sunday during the Peak Season. **Owner has dogs**

A perfect house for a larger group, with fun indoor and outdoor social spaces and everything you could need, exactly where you'd expect to find it. Bathrooms are all modern but you're reminded you're in a historic house by the staircase, which is steep and slanted! Charming though. Tons of nice to have items left by previous guests -- like tin foil and PAM, spices and trash bags etc. Beds were very comfortable. We really liked being on Church St and in walking distance of Amarin, the Creamery and assorted stores and restaurants. Church St can seem busy sometimes, but it's quiet at night. 100% would book this property again.

Great house with a beautiful screened-in patio and outdoor fire pit. My only complaint was the AC was not working our first night on the property, which made for a miserable first night. It would have been nice if they could have at least supplied fans to use until it was fixed the following day. Otherwise, great house and stay.

This home is in the middle of everything. Excellent location. Grocery just two short blocks away. Biking everywhere is possible. The home is nicely done downstairs, but there is no dining table to accommodate eight guests. We made do, but... There is an awesome screened in room offering seating for eight, but we were disappointed to discover how dirty it was - floors and table. The grill was dirty but passable. The master shower curtain was moldy (pink mold) at the bottom :( and there was no closet in the MBR. The king bed was OK, but it was very soft and saggy. We made do. We used the linen package and found the sheets not of high quality, the towels were small and lesser quality and only one dishcloth was provided. Next time, we will bring our own sheets, towels and kitchen linen. Upstairs, the pictures clearly showed two beds in one of the upstairs BRs. We hunted and hunted and finally found it! A trundle under the main bed in the bedroom. Finally, the floors upstairs were unnervingly unlevel. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Lovely home very conveniently located for walking to dinners and some shopping. This very old home has been beautifully updated with nice appliances and modern conveniences. The host/hostess thought of everything to make the stay a little more comfortable and fun from extra hooks in the bedrooms and bathrooms to baskets for dirty clothes, to corn hole for the backyard and more! The kitchen was very well stocked and they even had flyswatters in the laundry closet! I would definitely stay here again with my family!

House was perfect in every way for adults and children. We loved the fire pit and screened porch and were all very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, beds were cozy and the bathrooms were especially gorgeous. The only thing we missed were some closets or places to hang clothes, but that definitely wouldn’t stop us from coming back!

Beautiful home located in the heart of Chincoteague, VA. We enjoyed the location of this home. It was fun to experience the farmer’s market right next door. This home was stocked with all the things needed for the week. We really enjoyed the outdoor/ enclosed seating and the fire pit. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. Only issue we had was…. the floors/carpets were dirty. It needs to be vaccumed and mopped. I would hire a different cleaning service.

Photos don't do this house justice! It was perfectly appointed, very clean, and located wonderfully. We were here for our grandchildren to experience the ponies before they move further south, and we couldn't have been happier. The accommodations were wonderful, just a very short walk to everywhere in Downtown. The fenced in yard is great for a grandson that loves to walk everywhere, and the screened-in porch saw all our dinner meals out there. But to have so much space in a small home show that the owners took extreme care when remodeling this home. 3 full baths were great, as was the master suite that gave Nono & Nanna there own space. If you are planning to see the ponies (of course you are!) get a tour with Saltwater Ponies and Capt. Jake, definitely a five star performance. Food at Island foods, which is walkable, coffee at Amiran Coffee, take out from Bills (highly recommend) and Famous Pizza (lunch & dinner). The BBQ grill gave us some wonderful steaks that we brought down. But the comfort, thoughtfulness of the owners, and great management team made this a bucket-list trip. Thanks to Hudson House family for a great trip.
