Stayed Dec 19, 2024This was a great place to stay for the holidays with extended family. We used both properties and loved the uniqueness of the property. It was also clean without feeling overly sterile or stiff. Mr. Hubbard was very prompt any time we had an inquiry (such as what type of bush was in the front yard that my daughter ate a berry from) There was plenty of wildlife around which my son loved. We got to talk about the different animal sounds we heard especially after dark and he saw a coyote. The house rules were not overly nitpicky or particular (last year we stayed at a house with 7 pages of dont's listed). So this made checkout very easy. It would have been nice if there was some type of safety lock on the back door as the pool is between the back door and the casita so my husband ended up sleeping on the couch by it, to make sure our 6 year old didn't try to sneak over to the casita at night to see his aunt and cousin were using the casita. But the listing is up front about there being no security features around the pool.

Stayed Dec 26, 2024A very comfortable, well appointed place. It was close to East side saguaro national Park and colossal cave mountain Park. We enjoyed the outside fire pit for s'mores and the quiet of the neighborhood.

Stayed Nov 14, 2024The house was perfect for four guys on a golf outing. Each got their own bedroom. Spacious sitting areas for down time. Well stocked kitchen. Beds comfy. Since it was Nov, the pool was not swimable because of cold nights. However, it would have been nice to use the outdoor spaces. Everything outside was dusty, dirty and unwelcoming. Nice bar, but stools too dirty to sit on. Needed a little attention and TLC. I do plan on going back.

Stayed Apr 18, 2024The property was nice for the price we paid. There was no one staying in the smaller house on the property until the day we were checking out, so make sure you're aware of that if you are only renting the main house. The owner made sure we knew about this before booking. The shared space is literally outside the doors of the main house, so communication between 2 parties may be necessary if you're both staying on the property to share the spaces. The master bedroom and bathroom stayed quite warm (even with air on) but the rest of the house was a good temperature once we turned on the air.

Stayed Dec 29, 2023Great location for driving to Sabino Canyon, Mt Lemmon, the Catalina mountains, and Rincons/ Saguaro East. And not too far to midtown/UA, downtown, Gates Pass/I-10. Good restaurants and stores nearby. Nice enough run/walk in the neighborhood. Good sunset and sunrise views from the yard. This was a good place to bring three generations together for a family vacation. There are three separate wings of bedrooms, with two doors between the kitchen and back bedroom. (Pantry and laundry area between them.) Accessible shower with stool in the main bedroom was great for the old folks. A bit on the older side, but I loved the Old Tucson flavor, having lived and worked there in the 1990s. Clean and well equipped. Attentive owner and no hassles. Too cold to use the pool in early January, but it was bigger than I expected and would likely be very nice. Lots of outdoor room to spread out between the pool, hammock, and grill / porch areas.
