Stayed Dec 31, 1969If you want to be overcharged for normal issues, that would happen to anyone upon your arrival at a rental. This is the place for you. The owners of the house charged 200 for a their cheap shower curtain falling upon our arrival, no we weren't bathing, just walked in and it happened to fall. There was no where 200 dollars worth of damage but they insisted on charging for it, a cheap curved shower curtain that someone before us, or maybe even the repair person, had put up that fell and scraped the wall. A little paint would fix. Given that my husband fixes apartments up and his company charges nowhere near 200 for a shower curtain falling that would cost less the $30 to fix, and thats being spendy, shows how disgraceful and intent to take money it appears this owner is. I contacted other places and asked how they would handle it and they also said charging 200 for normal wear and tear is extreme. Several had never even heard of charging someone for a shower curtain that doesnt screw into the wall, falling as it does happen. Also had to contact the owner that the internet was down the second day of our stay, this issue was resolved, which is a plus. To stay for 2 nights and be charged almost $400 then over charged for something out of our control, and when contacted for an explanation, doesnt respond back is unsettling. Theres a tv in 1 room, nowhere else. If you want to watch tv everyone has to go to the bedroom with 1 chair. Not exactly family friendly imo

Stayed Aug 7, 2025House was comfortable and served us well for our few days in the Anchorage area. Staying out in Eagle River is much nicer than in Anchorage proper.

Stayed Aug 1, 2024House is in Eagle River, a small community outside of Anchorage with plenty of restaurants and other conveniences. It was a good home base for exploring Denali, Palmer, Chugach State Park. The house itself was very clean with no clutter, so there is plenty of room for your own things. It has been remodeled recently but there is a fairly strong odor of old cigarette smoke.

Stayed May 16, 2024Wonderful place, great location for the events we were there. Needs better cleaning. Paperwork says check out at 11am and in house says 10am. Cleaners were there at kind but asked us when we would be out so place is ready for next guests. Please fix this difference for others and we do hope to stay here again.

Stayed Aug 16, 2023Overall stay was good. Didn’t realize the house wasn’t located in Anchorage. It was okay because we had a rental. House is as pictured. The owner communicated very well which was greatly appreciated. The drawbacks for us were that the outside wasn’t taken care of properly especially the backyard; the house had an odor that we all thought it was smoke from cigarettes; and no blackout curtains only dark curtains in three bedrooms; it should’ve been some dark or blackout curtains on the patio doors as well.

Stayed Dec 7, 2022This house worked well for the 3 of us attending training in Eagle River. It gave us all our own space to spread out. When we arrived, there was a snow storm, and the owner assured us that the driveway would be taken care of. His driveway was plowed way before most of the other roads.
