Dear guests,
Welcome home and thank you for choosing us!
Here is some useful information :
HOUSE
The control of the external gate is the first button on the left near the front door. There is also another one, on the terrace, next to the entrance door.
The control of the light on the outer scale is located in the kitchen, near the brooms. You can leave this light on during the night but please remember to turn it off during the day.
If you turn on the air conditioner in the living room and simultaneously one or more appliances and heaters or fans the general counter may skip. In this case please exclude one or more devices and restart electricity, using all devices at the minimum level. The general counter is located on the wall behind the iron green door of the kitchen. Our advice is to always use the washing machine and dishwasher at night.
If during your stay the kitchen gas bottle ends, please call immediately Mr Molisso tel. + 39-081-8798338, asking him to take another. You won’t have to pay anything. You only say UNA BOMBOLA GAS PER NICOLA MIGLIACCIO PRIMA DELLE TERRAZZE VIA SERIO, he’ll understand. That’s all !

Please pay attention to the chairs of the dining table, which are in straw and hand-finished by artisans: for the children there are other chairs that are more suitable for them all over the house.
The BBQ is at guests' disposal. The tools are in the drawer under the kitchen oven. After use, please do not leave dirty tools or grids. When using the barbecue, please pay attention not to grill to the terrace plants!
If it is summer, it is likely that in the evenings there will be mosquitoes. At home, you will find anti-slip stoves
and plates to be used before going to sleep. For the terrace instead, you can use the citronella candles or
the citronella spirals or repellent spray in the skin. They are sold in all shops, including supermarkets.
Please do not leave the gazebo unattended in case of strong wind : they may move and cause damage. Just release the laces that hold the covercloth before you leave.
In Vico Equense there is a hard waste collection and there are severe penalties for those who do not do it well, so please follow the instructions and deposit them in the evening and put the right bags outside the garage. As to safety at home, please note that all the window shutters have can be locked with a key and that the entrance door is armored. Please also do not leave your trash at home before leaving, otherwise we will be obliged to charge you with an extra fee for the final cleaning.
At the end of your holiday, before leaving be sure to:
- Leave the keys on the dining room table.
- close the windows.
- turn off all the lights
- leave the dirty linen folded and in one place only.
Finally, we remind you that the holidays are an opportunity to rest for everybody , therefore we ask you to respect the rules of civil society with your neighbours and to collaborate with them in the use of the common garage, which is intended for three cars of normal size.
WHERE TO GO SHOPPING
In the center of Vico Equense in the same road you’ll find the supermarket CONAD, the fishmonger, the delicatessen, the greengrocer, the winery and other useful shops. At the University of pizza you can buy everything there is on the menu, including delicious vegetable portions to take away. The restaurant has its own underground garage which leads to the upper hall.
Vico Equense is famous for its typical foods: we suggest you not leave before trying the famous fiordilatte , provola and provolone del Monaco by Di Gennaro, cakes and pastries by Andrea e Giovanni and the Gabriele ice creams and its dairy products.
In Vico Equense there are two chemists and a hospital with emergency service and medical service. At the chemists and in the hospital you can ask for some advice, if necessary.
In the centre of Vico Equense there are many ATM where to take cash, which is still used everywhere.
WHERE TO EAT
The University of Pizza, also said the Gigino’s restaurant, is a famous pizzeria which sells pizza by meter. It also provides a take-away and home delivery. Just call, order and ask that Vincenzo delivers the food to Nicola, Via Luigi Serio 45, in the terrazze. Do not forget to leave him a tip!
In the center of Vico Equense are also other restaurants such as Terra Mia, a Sushi Bar, Il Buco with its inner garden, Tito's, Cerasé, il Barrio with its inner garden..
In Seiano, the next bay to that of Vico Equense, don’t miss a drink at sunset at the small bars of the promenade or have a dinner at the restaurant Mustafa.
In Montechiaro, just after Seiano, you’ll find the restaurant Il Patriarca, with its panoramic position on the Gulf of Naples.
In Sorrento, please try Il Parrocchiano Restaurant, and the Pollio’s ice cream. Two other really good restaurants are Francesco in Schiazzano a fraction on the mountains of Massalubrense and La Torre in Santa Maria Annunziata, still a fraction on the Massalubrense’s mountains. The restaurant Eughnes in Termini, Nonna Rosa in Alberi , Camillo Torre Ferano in Fornacelle, not to mention Maria Grazia on the Nerano’s beach, with its worldwide famous spaghetti with zucchini…
We don’t report the restaurants with Michelin and Gambero Rosso Stars throughout the Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast because they are already very famous (and very expensive for our tastes).

WHERE TO PARK
In Vico Equense there are many paid parking garages. Throughout the center you can park on the street, where the stripes are blue. You pay for it in the appropriate columns and please display the ticket in the car, not out! Free parking is only possible where the stripes are white. To tell you the truth, very few white stripes are available!

EXCURSIONS
The whole coast of Sorrento and Amalfi is full of places to visit and corners to discover: Sorrento, Capri, Nerano, Recommone, the bay of Ieranto, the Path of the Gods, Positano, Amalfi, Vietri sul Mare. Towards Naples there are the Vesuvius, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples itself with its castles, museums and the ancient center. Beyond Naples, in the Campi Flegrei with the Solfatara, the Rione Terra di Pozzuoli, the Acropolis of Cuma. A little further away there are the Royal Palace of Caserta, the Temples of Paestum, the Certosa di Padula and the Caves of Pertosa. Many excursions can be organized personally or with a travel agency of your choice, either by car, boat or by walking.

SEA:
The beaches of the Sorrento coast are generally small and almost private. During high season we suggest to avoid going there on Saturdays and Sundays because they are too crowded. Better better to go to museums or archaeological sites! There are some small free beaches, such as the Pezzolo in Seiano, which can also be reached on foot from the central church of Vico Equense via a long stair (you can come back by bus in Seiano), the Turtle Beach down to the Marina di Vico Equense which can be reached by a rented pedalo or canoa . In the center of Vico Equense there is the Hotel Sporting's beach which is accessed via a lift costing 9 euros per person: on the beach, you can choose between are a private lido and a free beach.
For a fee, you will find many well-equipped establishments such as the Stone, the Bikini, the Scraio, the Antico Bagno, the Axidie.

Clean and well equipped holiday home in Vico Equense. The hosts Eleonora and Nicola welcomed us, showed the facilities in the home and a quick guide tour of Vico Equense. Vico Equense has everything you could want within a 15 min walk into the town centre. We had excellent meals at Terrazza Alfonso, L'Universita della Pizza and La Salumeria. The train station is a flat 10 min walk, with trains to Sorrento and Herculaneum/Pompeii. The train can be crowded, especially toward Naples, so allow extra time if you can't get on the first train. We drove to Herculaneum one day, but used the train/boat for Sorrento/Capri, train for Pompeii and train/bus for Positano. Be aware that the road outside the house is busy with cars and scooters. It can be very noisy at night if you are used to quiet. We got used to it after a couple of nights.

This was our first trip to Italy, and we found this house to stay for our first part of the trip. I must say the house is very nice and comfortable. It is on a busy street, so you do hear the traffic noise, but truly it got so I for the most part didn't even notice very much. The town of Vico Equense is cute, filled with friendly people and great restaurants. The view on the patio is wonderful and at night with the sunset, it can be breathtaking. Once in town as well you can catch the local train that takes you to a variety of places including Pompeii, Sorrento, Naples. We took this train for many days for the various outings we had planned, and it worked very well. My only issue, and it’s because I have bad knees and other health issues, were the steps leading up to the house were tiring and the walk into town was constantly gradually going uphill. At times this was a challenge for me, but taking it slow I made it work. The hosts were marvelous and very friendly and helpful as needed. Whenever I asked questions even before our arrival they always responded quickly. I would recommend this house for the beauty and friendly people of the town.

Comfortable house perched above the coastal road with views of the crystalline Gulf of Naples. Ischia in the distance, the Marina di Vico just to the left. And the terrace...the terrace is the best. Scents of honeysuckle and rosemary. Fresh sea breezes to accompany breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Apertivi and digestivi. Simply unforgettable. Town is a lovely short stroll away. Vesuvius always in view. Vico feels touristed but not super touristy. Excellent negozi, restaurants, pasticcerie, latticini. Kind, simpatici people. Eleonora and Nicola are kind and gracious hosts and were very responsive when we had an unforeseen issue. Memories to savor for a lifetime.

This is a nice, roomy home, comfortable for our family and very clean. Nicola is a great host, meeting us at the property and giving us lots of recommendations for our stay. Easy walk to town and the train station. Good swimming beach nearby. We also enjoyed our fresh fruit basket thanks Nicola

Really enjoyed our stay in Vico Equense. Eleonora was an excellent host, we had a very warm greeting and if we needed any help she was very quick to respond. Apartment was lovely, the view from the terrace is fabulous (unless you don't like seeing the sun set behind Capri). Short uphill walk to the train station and Vico opens up the whole of the Sorrento coast. Apartment well appointed all that you would need. Would heartily recommend. Be mindful that there are a number of external steps to the property, but hey what a view!

Great Spot to explore the bay of Naples from. It's only 5 mins walk to the Train Station with access to Naples, Sorrento and Pompeii and 10mins walk into Vico. The terrace and view are amazing and property is really nice with enough space for our 2 families. Nicola and Eleanora are a lovely and helpful couple , we hope to be back one day.

Great location. Owners are wonderful. . Terrace is amazing ! It overlooks the bay and when the storms move in they are awesome to watch! Only problem is the road is very busy and not well stocked for travellers. Small car only for parking place.

We had a lovely stay in Vico Equense. The owner Nicola and Eleonora provided us with great tips, picked us up from the train station and had a a nice bottle of prosecco for my parents 50th anniversary as a gift. The house itself is very spacious and overlooking the Napels bay al the way to Capri with stunning sunsets. Very close to the city center of Vico and a perfect connection with Sorrento, Napels, Pompeii and Vesuvius. All and all we had a great stay and recommend this house to everyone looking to go the Amalfi Coast and surroundings.

We really enjoyed our week at the house. It was perfect for us, and Nicola and Eleonora are great hosts. Really good location too, walking distance from Vico Equense, and the car parking meant we could explore the area either by car or by train. Perfect, thank you.
