House near the beach with ocean views wood stove and telescope

The view is beautiful. Truly. It has a cabin-beach feel. Sorta. The house is in desperate need of a make over. It failed to meet my expectations for the price. The appliances are dated. There is no dishwasher. There is a nice little message asking me to wash dishes. Vacation isn’t washing dishes to me—-or most people. The back deck on the main floor is scary. There was an inspection recently, but it doesn’t feel stable. The handle on the right needs tightening. There is a guest book on the main table. All my concerns/compaints are written by several guests. You should read this book. The house was dusty. Dead bugs in all the corners. Upon entering there is a sign to remove your shoes. This is not safe. Those wooden stairs are extremely slippery with socks. The slip treads on the stairs need to be replaced. First night I fell down the stairs. The beds need to be replaced. The mattresses and the frames. The showers need to be updated. Also. At 1243 am the washing machine started on its own. Electric glitches happen. This is an older washing machine and there is no way this could have started on its own. It was terrifying. To the owners- it’s time to do some serious updating and investing into your property. The cleaning crew is subpar and I think it’s time to invest in a pressure washer company to hit up the outside of the house.

The place was great! The woodwork in the house was amazing!! You get a nice feel when you are there. You are up in the trees, and you can hear the sound of the wind and the waves crashing below.

Host was welcoming - in fact, they thoughtfully left us a roasting pan since it was Thanksgiving. A wonderful house with amazing views.

This cozy cabin had lots of places to gather for talking, games, reading, or watching a movie. The windows look out on the beautiful scenery of ocean and woods! There are lots of stairs. Oceanside is full of vacation homes and only has a couple restaurants, so be sure to grab anything you might need ahead of time(things like snacks, firewood, toiletries, etc )

Perfect for what we were looking for: quick getaway to the coast while in Oregon visiting our son. Property met all of our expectations.

Our family enjoyed staying in this cabin. We stayed up late playing cards and making memories.

2 things were problematic. First, I couldn’t get the door code to work. Fortunately, I’d kept the phone # for help handy, and whomever I called helped me get in the place. Secondly, the DVR and tv weren’t functioning well. However, the management company sent out a helpful young man, and the cable company was also summoned. This would not have been a big deal, but it rained hard during a couple of days, which crimped outdoor activities. But the view from the house is beautiful and there are several porches to enjoy it from, a couple of which are covered and dry. The house is great. Beautiful and spacious. Almost anyone would enjoy their time there. We brought 2 dogs, who also enjoyed their stay.
