Stayed Sep 1, 2024TL;DR version: Pros: Ideal location, able to stop car briefly at the home, gorgeous view, beautiful, comfortable, responsive management team Cons: Parking, four stories, needs a few minor items Fantastic place to stay, highly recommended. Pros: • Terrific location. Less than a 2-minute walk to the start of Cortona’s historic center. Easy access everywhere while still being able to stop a car briefly in front of the home to unload suitcases or groceries. Postcard-worthy views from the main living area, bedroom, and terrace. • Gorgeous home. Lovely finishes, comfortable furniture, large rooms. The photos on VRBO were perfectly representative. • Responsive management company. Eduardo at Terre Trusche was a delight. We arrived to two significant problems (dead refrigerator, clogged master bath shower.) He resolved these issues very quickly. Cons: • Parking. Cortona fills up with day trippers every day. Starting in early 2024, only one parking is free. While that free lot is very large, during our stay it was difficult to find a space there quickly without circling with other cars and waiting 10-15 minutes. • The climb. The climb up the street into town from the free parking lot is a very steep climb for a little over a block. • Stairs. This home is spread over four floors, and the long flight of stairs between the entry floor / bedroom, and the floor below can’t be avoided. • Lacking a few minor items (mostly in kitchen, extra blanket.) Left suggestions w/ management team.
