Great location - rural serenity convenient to activities and attractions in the area.
We had a group showing at the Horse Park. This locations was perfect! Well equipped, quiet and lovely.
We were in town with my daughter's college eventing team. We needed to be at the horse park most of the days, but it was a relief to go back to a real home. We had plenty of space for everyone. Plenty of parking as well.
We thouroghly enjoyed our stay! Beautiful location, beautiful setting, and just minutes to all the places we needed to go. Had every possible thing we needed, well thought out to make our stay as seamless as possible. Will be back for sure!
Enjoyed the scenery so much! Back porch was pleasant and plenty of room for us to spread out. Kids enjoyed the horses! Good communication with managers.
This home was perfect and the setting was beautiful!! It was appointed and clean and the communication was wonderful! Thank you! We will be back!
The property was beautiful. My kids loved seeing the horses every morning. Our favorite spot was the back porch. We enjoyed the evenings and the fireflies. Communication with the managers was great and helpful.
The property and home were lovely and the check in and communication were perfect!! Thank you! We will defiantly be back for Kentucky Horse Park events!!
From the moment of arrival you will enjoy the peace and quiet of the beautiful Kentucky countryside. A gated entry adds to a feeling of being safe. Wifi is not needed when you can spend time on the front or back porch to watch the sunrise, sunset, and horses munching on grass. The house is spacious, well equipped, and clean. It is a little older property, but that only adds to the charm. About a 2 minute drive to the Horse Park and only 11 miles to Keeneland. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will definitely come again! Thank you to the owners for allowing us to enjoy this property.
The property is beautiful including sunrises and sunsets. We spent 6 days visiting family and taking in local attractions including distillery, Creation Museum, Ark, Natural Bridge and Peddlers Mall! Our only complaint was the beds (no place like home). We would definitely stay here again.
Lovely setting, nice accommodations and very comfortable.
We had an unbelievable time at John and Debbie’s place. The horses were so friendly, the house was clean and perfect for our group. It was wonderful being able to walk to the barns and see there operation. The owners are so nice and accommodating. We will absolutely be coming back again!!!
I have to agree with Sharon P. that stayed in May 2022. Not only did the king bed make noise at every little move you made, so did the others. There were a lot of cob webs and dead bugs in between the inside/outside windows, as well as bees nests in between the storm and inside windows. The bathrooms do not have electrical outlets. The lawn was not mowed, and the hedges on the sidewalk going to the house were overgrown to the point you only had half the sidewalk to walk on. There were tall weeds everywhere. I am not opposed to old properties as long as it's well maintained, but this needed some work. The horses were a definite plus, but walking to see them was rough through the tall grass and weeds. Not saying I would never stay again, but the landscaping needs some serious work if you want to have decent curb appeal for renters. The outside should look as nice as the inside.
This comfortable 3-bedroom ranch-style house was perfect for our family. It is located on a working horse farm in the gorgeous countryside around Lexington but easily accessible to the city. The grandkids - and the kids of all ages - loved seeing the beautiful thoroughbred horses running in their pastures surrounding the house - or often just standing at the fence waiting to be petted! It is a wonderful, peaceful sanctuary.
We experienced nostalgia because home reminded us of house we grew up in. Every necessity’s there and the location to things to do couldn’t be beat!
We were very disappointed with this property. We were booked for 2 nights, but only stayed 1 night. Things seemed tidy and clean at first but there were many things that needed attention we noticed with time. As soon as we entered the house, there was a definite odor...an old person odor and a strong cleaning odor. The sheets had the same strong cleaning odor, so I don't know if too much detergent was used or just an overpowering scent. The king bed made noise at every little move you made. On many of the windows, there were sheer curtains blocking the view, but if you wanted to open them, you had to then look at cob webs and dead bugs in between the inside/outside window. There was an old lumpy couch cover on the family room couch. The bathrooms do not have electrical outlets, and there are no coverings on the florescent light fixtures. The toilet in the guest bath would not flush without opening the tank to fix it. The lawn was mowed nice, but the hedges on the sidewalk going to the house were overgrown to the point you only had half the sidewalk to walk on. There were tall weeds around the base of the beautiful big tree in the front yard. I am not opposed to old properties as long as it's well maintained and smells nice. We felt like we were in a box the short time we were there. Totally disappointed.
We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was lovely, and the horses were absolutely beautiful! Thank you for your hospitality!
