We loved this home so so much. The view was even better than it looks in the pictures, and the kitchen and living room were incredibly peaceful. We were just as happy to come home to this house and enjoy a cup of coffee and the view as we were to go out and explore Olympic National Park. I would love to come back here and won’t forget this home. Thanks for a lovely stay!!!
Just what we needed
Ready access to all if the park, the view from the front windows was amazing! Loved watching the ferry come and go and we had deer visit 2 times during our stay.
This home had everything we needed. Great location to explore Olympic National Park. Within walking distance of the wharf. Beautiful views of Juan de Fuca straight and Mt. Baker. The home was very clean and kitchen very well stocked. We cooked all of our meals, so this was greatly appreciated. All members of my party agreed we would stay here again!
We were there to visit Olympic NP, and this was a great location for home base. View of the water was better than expected. Home size was great. Easy access. Nice place. I would stay here again.
Nice quiet neighborhood on a hill overlooking the water. Kitchen is well equipped and plenty of room to relax.
This was a great rental for our group! The kitchen had everything you would need and the home was immaculately clean. It was conveniently located to the national park. We went hiking and whale watching during our stay and loved it! We highly recommend this rental!
This might be one of our favorite places we've ever stayed. First of all, the location and the view of the strait are fantastic. It was just wonderful to walk through the door and look out over the water -- especially on a clear day where you could see Mount Baker. There were also some local deer neighbors that were enjoyable to spectate from the huge picture windows. The decor, especially in the shared spaces, was both high quality and unique. You don't often come across a 50s-style interior to match a 50s-style exterior anymore, and they did just that while also making it comfortable and luxurious. The architecture of this little house is so unique with lots of natural light and privacy. The kitchen was also well-stocked with all the equipment needed to complete meals at home -- we particularly appreciated the plentiful tupperware to store leftovers. The bed and linens were super comfortable, and it was nice to have basic toiletries in the bathrooms. Finally, the town of Port Angeles is perfect for exploring the peninsula with all the conveniences of a big town (great grocery options like Country Aire) while also being on the doorstep of the national park. I also highly recommend Buena Luz nearby -- the pastries and chai are to die for. If we're ever back in the area we will definitely look up this house!
Clean, comfortable, well-stocked house with a wonderful view of Juan de Fuca Strait and 5 minutes from the Hurricane Ridge entrance to Olympic National Park. Close to restaurants and bars in Port Angeles. (Big shout out to Sabai Thai restaurant. Everything we had there was fresh and delicious). Four of us stayed 4 nights. The furniture and beds are comfortable, the sheets and towels are soft, the Wi-Fi worked well and we appreciated having the washer and dryer. Between the mini-split in the dining area, opening windows and the fans in the bedrooms, we stayed cool enough during our August visit. The deer family that spends evenings in the yard and across the street were especially entertaining. Overall a very pleasant stay and highly recommend Horizon Hillside.
Perfect location, views are beautiful. Fully equipped kitchen.
Gorgeous view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca from large picture windows. Comfortable living room for relaxing after a busy day. We truly enjoyed the house.
We had a wonderful stay. It was very clean and well stocked kitchen with essential pots and pans. Has a beautiful view of the water. The beds were comfortable. Great to have the pull out couch in family room for one of our three children. Very clear check in information a few days before our arrival. Great to have a washer and dryer to us too. We would definitely recommend!
Stayed for 4 nights as we explored ONP. Was a great location. House was everything we needed, clean and perfect location. Especially enjoyed being able to watch the boats.
Nice property, great view. Would highly recommend staying here.
Comfortable and had all the necessary items, great views and convenient location,
Very clean property and appliances all worked, good selection of dishes and pans. Some reviews had complained about wifi, we did not have a problem in 3/2023. Minor inconveniences the cable package was very basic and march madness was on, so we coudn't even see most of the games for our night time relaxing time. Also pour your coffee over the sink. The karaffe dribbles no matter what you do. The view is both breathtaking and interesting as there are constantly new ships coming and going to watch.
Such a great place to stay. Beautiful views. No issues at all. Plan to stay again.
The large picture windows and view of the Strait were just beautiful! And the fireplace and Christmas decorations made it very cozy. We enjoyed the home layout, lovely bedrooms, and well stocked kitchen. There were also plenty of games for the kids. The location is just great for doing things in town, walking to a couple of parks, or driving up to Hurricane Ridge!
Everything was perfect. Plan to return soon. Thanks.
Clean, cozy and close to local amenities. Was the perfect resting spot after daily park adventures.
Couldn’t have been better
Clean, well kept home, quiet neighborhood and a great view.
The home was very comfortable and well kept. Would definitely stay again.
We spent four days hiking in various parts of the Olympic Peninsula, and wanted a convenient, comfortable place to rest our tired bodies each night. This home was perfect. It included everything we needed to enjoy recovering our tired bodies: in the kitchen, the bathrooms, the bedrooms, TV, etc... And the evening and early morning views were spectacular!
Good location if you want to explore Olympic National Park. Close to a couple of the popular hiking spots. The sheets for the pop-out bed were missing when we first arrived but the staff was friendly and responsive and helped us out quickly. We would stay there again.
