The house was very clean. Exelent location for peace and quiet. Very spacious. The pictures shown on the site don't do it justice.Its quiet and out in the country. But close enough to Fredericksburg for it not to be a long trip to go to town.10 out of 10 definitely would stay again when I'm in the area.

This was a great getaway for us. The house lacked nothing. For us the beds were too high so we made use of the recliner and sofa…slept great.Loved watching the deer, cotton tails, birds and two grey foxes! We hope to return in the fall.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and unwind. The home was beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches in every room. Everything was spotless and cozy. The atmosphere was peaceful and calm, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Seeing the wildlife from the back porch was entertaining! From start to finish, this stay was everything we hoped for and more. We're already planning our return! Highly recommend to anyone looking for the perfect home-away-from-home. The only negative about the stay was that the icemaker and water dispenser in the refrigerator did not work so if you're planning on coming stop for ice and water otherwise the kitchen is well stocked!

This home is beautiful, spotless, comfortable & private. The large deck out back is perfect. We saw several deer, morning & evenings, squirrels, lizards, hummingbirds, cardinals, a lg fox and even a wild pig. Everything we needed and then some was provided. This was a much needed trip & the host did not disappoint! Thank you for sharing this home with us, we did not want to leave.

The Back 20 has everything you would want in a vacation home. I could have spent weeks there. The inside is very tastefully done, and the outside decks are perfect. They even have a screened in porch for when the bugs come out at night. We saw deer and a ton of hummingbirds. They even have extra feed to fill feeders if they run dry. We love The Back 20 and are making plans to return.

Much needed break made special with such a wonderful place to stay. Loved being able to make breakfast before hiking everyday and returning to relaxing comfortable place. Wish we could’ve stayed longer

This property was truly exceptional - great attention to detail, loved the space and ability to lounge and relax. We loved the deer/deer feeder and observing them each day. Great star-gazing, close to town - cannot wait to go back. Just truly special, well-appointed. Just loved it!!!

Wow!!!! I really am trying to think of one negative but it has been difficult. Ok...maybe the noise of the highway while sitting on the porch. But it didn't stop us from sitting on the porch! And inside we heard nothing! From the moment we stepped into the house, with the music playing, and the view of the backyard...we thought, we don't even need to go to wineries!! EVERYTHING, and I mean everything was absolutely perfect. I don't think I have ever stayed in a better place. Super clean, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen....all we could possibly want! We will keep this on our list and we never need to look any further for a place to stay. If you want to be in the midst of Main Street hub bub, this is not the place for you. If you want to get away after a day of shopping and wineries, you will want to retreat back to Honey Hill. We actually couldn't wait to return and relax at the end of our day. It is only a 10 min drive to downtown Fredericksburg. Seriously, The Back 20 has it all going on!!! Thank you for opening your house to strangers!! We will be back!

This place was everything you could ask for and then some. The house was amazing and had everything you need to be comfortable. The view on the back patio was also amazing with a beautiful view of the hill country and all the wildlife you can think of from birds to deer. Would definitely recommend this place and would be back for sure.

Loved hanging on the back porch watching the sun go down and the mornings watching the wildlife activity. Lovely, well appointed, house. We wish we had more time to hang out there.
