Homewood Hideaway ~ With great privacy among the pines, only about one hundred yards from the South Lodge of the Homewood Ski resort, is the lovely new architect-designed Hideaway Lodge, recently on the local Home Tour of the North Tahoe Historical Society. At the entrance is a 21-foot ceiling great room, with sky lights, hardwood floors, and log trusses. The huge structural logs span across the entire room. The great gas fireplace has gorgeous stonework. The fine furnishings include your favorite satellite channels on the 46 flat-screen television, dining table and chairs, Lazy-Boy Chairs, sofas, and copper coffee table. The living area flows into the sun room with its many sky lights and windows on three sides, taking in the beauty of the outside forest. Comfortable furniture provides great relaxing in this room. Glass doors open to the large flagstone patio with its summer furniture.

The gourmet kitchen contains all built-in stainless steel Electrolux appliances, including a six-burner range, oven, warming oven, microwave oven, large refrigerator with French doors, copper sink with an InSinkerator, dishwasher, and many appliances, e.g., two coffee makers, mixer, and toaster. Three bar stools are at the edge of the great granite island. The bar room has also has a luxury sink with an InSinkerator, a wine cooler, a large wine rack, and all equipment for making drinks, including many sets of glassware in the cabinets. The laundry area has the huge Whirlpool Duet washer and drier, ironing board and giant table area, many cabinets for linens, and many pantry cabinets for groceries. There is DSL internet access and phones in every bedroom and the great room.

Each of the four bedrooms has a distinct ceiling, interesting special furniture, and different color patterns. Two are bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and French doors leading to the outside slate patios. One bathroom has a large granite sink; another has a large inlaid wood sink. A bathroom has a double-size showers with surrounding sprays. The other en-suite bathroom has a shower and tub. The third bedroom has vaulted ceilings and also doors to the outside; it has a day bed with trundle. The other three bedrooms have queen beds. The third bathroom in the hall has double sinks and a jetted tub that can be used with a rain shower. There are walk-in closets and ample dressers.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS:
You must park in driveway or garage only. NO STREET PARKING
The one car garage has an automatic door opener. Parking is limited to 2 cars maximum, one in the garage and one outside the garage. One very special aspect about this home is a generator for those times when the electricity goes out.

This home does not allow any parties or events as this home is in a residential neighborhood, and quiet time is from 9pm-8am. Thanks for your cooperation! The lot ends at the edge of the outside patio area, so please don't use the neighbor's property beyond this line. There is plenty of room to enjoy this home while staying on this property.

Cleaning fee includes linens and towels. You may want to bring beach towels, as those are not provided.

There is an electric fence system at this house to protect it from bears when unoccupied. Detailed instructions will be given to you once booked.

The ONLY negative thing would have been the outside furniture was not as described and what little landscaping (random plants in pots) they had were dead and not cared for. You really could just remove them. But everything else was great!!

Homewood Ski Area within walking distance, just about a ski in/out situation from the South lodge and the quickest commute to the North lodge.
