Home with private pool, hot tub, W/D, & central AC

Had a great time with family, but will not rent this house again.

Nice large house, mostly clean, lots of room. Master bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable, it sank in the middle, spouse had to sleep on one of the twin mattresses. Movie room would have been great but AC didn't work. Could use a better dishwasher and clothes dryer but they worked. Two shower curtains had bad mold spots but host sent new ones out and replaced them right away. Gas grill and charcoal grills were unusable. Hammocks on decks were unusable. Host was very responsive. Good house for the money.

Pool & hot tub, big living room/eat in kitchen & movie theater room!

This was a great place for our family. Very well stocked, great entertaining spaces, and great location. We plan to book this house next year.

We loved the house, movie room and amenities. The pool and hot tub are wonderful and there was plenty of room for our family of 8. Be mindful if you have children or elderly people that the beach access in front of the home is a very high dune. Overall we very much enjoyed the home.

We booked this place for spring break last year and while it’s really great space for the price, I wasn’t happy with cleanliness and state of the place. It’s gotten a lot better! The cleaning specifically was up to snuff. I think that for what you get it’s definitely worth it.

Plenty of things to do and always something within a few miles away.

Great house, plenty of room. Does need some updating but overall comfortable. One downfall is most decks have no chairs to be able to sit outside.

Upon arrival house was dirty. Stains on carpets, and dirty furniture. Trash piled up behind the tiki bar. Pool table is bad shape and 2 of the cues sticks have no tip. To make matters worse a family member stepped on a nail sticking up on one the balconies the first day. So we had to wear shoes all the time going forward. On the 3rd day, a nail came through one of our shoes coming up the steps into the house. We then realized there were popped up nails on all the decks and steps. With that we ended up ending our trip a day early! This home is in need of some renovations, and better maintenance.

The location of this home is perfect. So is the layout for a large group. It also has a lift which was a huge plus and certainly a highlight. Unfortunately, the home was in major need of updates. It has mold, which is visible at the air vents. The sliding glass door upstairs never closed completely, which probably contributed to the mold. Bedding is old and worn and needs to be changed out. Toilet seats and a few fixtures either needed replacement or tightening. Pans and kitchen equipment need replacement, specifically the pans. As we cooked pancakes, flakes of the non-stick pan were covering our food. The most disappointing part was the lack of cleanliness. This home needs a deep clean. We were provided 2 towels per room, which were clean but stained. Additional towels were brought out. Everything was dirty and when we moved a piece of furniture to fit a pack-and-play, it clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The sheets and pillowcases were left for us to make the beds witch was also a first. I will finish with my thoughts on Vacasa. Not impressed. Our check in was 6. Yes, 6 pm. We have never in the 20 years of going to the OBX had a check in that late. If they were managing my property, I would fire them for their lack of communication of the needs of the house. We enjoyed the week and did really like the location and layout. I probably would not book again, until I was able to confirm if duct cleaning, mold resolved and upgrades completed. And I will definitely think twice before renting a home serviced by Vacasa.
