We booked the place for a 4-night stay for 11 people in Dec. to attend a family gathering nearby. The biggest issue was that the electricity would not stay on. Based on our conversations with the manager, the owner knew about the issue. We also found a note from Housekeeping which said The entire back half of the house (kitchen to master) is on one breaker. Be careful about running too much power at once, all light at the same time plus heat etc. or the breaker will shut off. If it does, it is the breaker box by the back door, marked sub. We followed the directions in the note, but the power constantly cut off even when we had nothing on but 1 thermostat set at 68. It was terribly cold (especially at night) & we did not have hot water for showers. We were in daily contact with the property manager & VRBO. We asked the manager to send an electrician. When the owner refused, we asked VRBO to find another place. VRBO did not provide us any options & we couldn't find any on such short notice. On day 2 the manager texted me saying the owner would reimburse fully if we left & most likely partially if we stayed the whole time we booked. We came a long way to see elderly relatives so we endured 3 out of the 4 booked nights to attend the family gathering. We cut our trip short & came home 1 day early. The owner is now telling VRBO he will not provide a discount to us or reimburse the unused night. The VRBO listing now says that the place is unavailable due to a technical problem.
Had a bachelor party here. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy the time. The pool is amazing. Definitely where most of our time was spent. The pond was great as well, they do have bass. We caught close to 20, the biggest was around 2lbs. The weight room is pretty nice. I’d bring a speaker if you’re planning on using the weights as there is no sound system. You’ll need to bring paper plates if you have a larger group, there were not a lot of plates/bowls to use.
