Stayed Oct 9, 2025The Holly Jolly house is a clean SPACIOUS home. There are some contradictions in the descriptions. It sleeps 7 (not 8), unless there's a bed in the LR: a BR with single bed on main floor, and three 2-person bedrooms upstairs (two with queens & one with 2 twins). One queen bedroom has a private full bath, the other two upstairs BRs share a bath with large shower in the upper hall. The downstairs powder room is very tiny, esp. considering the spaciousness of the main floor with its large kitchen, DR, LR, and bonus room that has laundry and office space but which could be converted to a BR. The spacious kitchen has a small table and the dining room seats 10. There is no balcony, but there's a nice patio with table outside in the fenced side yard. The Christmas decor is charming, though a bit intimidating to move aside for dining. One flaw is that most of the lights are way too bright for proper ambience, though the brightness proves how clean the place is. Because of the high ceilings downstairs, the steps to go upstairs are long & steep. The larger bedrooms all have closets, but bring hangers. The upstairs hallway lacks nightlights, despite having a couple of unexpected steps needed to reach the bathroom. A bonus is the short walk to dining, drinking, and shopping, and the short drives to the rest of charming Hamilton.

Stayed Jun 19, 2025The house is a large historic home with 4 bedroom and 2 1/2 baths. This was a great find for us traveling up for a basketball tournament. I don’t think I ever communicated with the owner, but the property manager was responsive. The holiday decor was fun as was the teen boys’ reaction to it. As an older home most of the doors stick and the floors are not all level though this didn’t bother us. All of the bedrooms are up steep steps which might be difficult for some. Would certainly stay here again if in town.
