Lexington, Kentucky
This iconic and historical place is close to everything Lexington has to offer while enjoying the rich history of the home. Your stay here will make it easy to plan your visit around the city. You are 1 block from Rupp arena, triangle park and the distillery district. This is one of the most coveted and best locations in Lexington for those wanting the space and location to the city's action
Although the location was great for our trip (walkable to Railbird festival) the house was very dirty and the air conditioning on two floors (where all but one bedroom is located) didn’t work since those floors never went below 80 degrees which made it very hard to sleep. Kitchen appliances, utensils, dishes etc were all dirty. Had to wash everything before using. Downstairs toilet and bathtub were dirty. Cobwebs everywhere around windows inside and out and around light fixtures, etc. - doesn’t look like anyone has dusted in awhile. Outside patio chairs were moldy. House definitely needs a lot of work before next rental. On a positive note we did have an issue with the check in door code but the property manager was able to fix that quickly.
Location was great! We walked to distilleries, pubs and restaurants. The house was BEAUTIFUL! The historic features are stunning. The backyard was private and a nice place for your morning coffee. The house had all of the supplies we needed.
Good location, plenty of space, nice deck and patio area.
Our theatre troupe travelled to Lexington for competition. This rental was in the perfect location for us to walk to all our events. It was nice and cozy and gave us opportunity to spend time together that is otherwise difficult in hotel settings. The only suggestion I would make is to update the actual room/bed allocations. While there was space for our 15 members, the rooms and beds were not allocated as we expected. thank you so much for sharing your home.
The house is close enough to Keeneland and there's a distillery around the corner so its a good place to start the Bourbon trail as well. There were a few inaccuracies in the listing but nothing that was too big of a hassle. Lots of beds and bedrooms for big group, common areas like living room and kitchen are a little tight if you're packing in 10-12 people like we were but heck, if you didn't like each other you wouldn't be renting a VRBO together.
