Our family spends one week each year at a different location. Maple Grove was the perfect place for us to relax and watch the freighters. The location was perfect- we were able to walk to and from the French Festival in Cape Vincent.
Our stay at Maple Grove was excellent. It has been several years since I have had the opportunity to stay in Cape Vincent and the house made it more like coming home rather than just a stay. The house is beautiful, well-kept, and comfortable with plenty of room for the eight of us that stayed. We will defiantly book again for next year.
Maple Grove is a beautiful home full of history, art, books and music! The property manager, Liz, is welcoming and very knowledgeable about the house and the surrounding area. And after check in, she was quick to respond to texts. We were not wanting for space and it had everything we needed, including toiletries, laundry detergent, etc. It is an old home, so it has it's quirks like steep stairs and wonky doors, but nothing off-putting and that's part of its historical charm. Regardless, it's a comfortable home and it It's conveniently located to all the Thousand Islands have to offer, but the best part is just rocking on the front porch, watching the ships go by and the kids play in the front yard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Lovely home located on the St. Lawrence River; great space to enjoy family, great location to downtown, the river, the lighthouse, Canada.....
Awesome property for a 9 person staff training retreat…plenty of beautiful space to feel comfortable in while learning and laughing . The staff felt so special and valued to be able to stay in this gorgeous well appointed place. Everything we needed was there! ( would love an electric tea kettle for us tea drinkers) …truly a Mansion!?
Great location! Lovely home by the river side.
Coffee on the front porch every morning watching the boats on the river. Beautiful sunsets every night. Great wineries and distilleries nearby. Lovely local coffee shop. Beautiful historic home with large tables and lots of room for families or friends. Great for our pianist with views of the river while they played . Took a few boat trips to explore the islands. Gardens on property and benches along water to reflect , read or meditate. A great getaway.
This house was built in 1838 and is full of history, antiques and was breathtaking. This property also hosts a world renowned junior piano competition in the summer. We were unaware of the incredible history associated with the stunning place, What a wonderful vacation we had. Just one recommendation, any food left by previous renters should be discarded.
Charming, relaxing, great people.
This was our second stay at Maple Grove and it was every bit as good as the first time. The beautiful house and grounds are in the perfect location to enjoy all of Thousand Islands summertime fun. The caretakers, Liz & Mike, were so nice to have as a resource during our stay. Maple Grove is as advertised and did not disappoint!
