Stayed Aug 23, 2025We always stay here, and we always love it! Every 2 years my 13 person family comes out to MV. It’s priced exactly right for the property, and Laura is so responsive. Don, the property manager is super helpful, although the house runs itself. Can’t wait to go in 2027!

Stayed Aug 26, 2023This is our 2nd time renting this home, and we will be back. The house sits at the edge of the water, and you can watch the ferries go by from the porch. We love how big the house is, and it’s old enough to be charming but has everything you’ll need. Don is a great property manager and always make sure we’re well taken care of. Thank you for our stay!

Stayed Jun 10, 2023Wonderful historic house in a prime location. Really enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching all the activities in the harbor. It is a historic house with quirks but we loved that and we will be back!

Stayed Aug 28, 2021This large house with fabulous views was perfect for our family of 12. It can be a struggle to find a home in our budget but this had everything we needed. Lots of bedrooms and space, and room for 3 cars. Just a short walk to town, and even the ferry! Laura, the property owner, was also really accommodating and easy to get ahold of. We’ll certainly be staying again next year if the property is available!

Stayed Jul 10, 2021We had two families, 5 children, and we loved being within walking distance of Vineyard Haven for shopping, dining, and ice cream every night! Vineyard Haven is a cute, smaller town so not as crowded as some other towns. Having a private beach was ideal so individual family members could come and go from the beach to the house. The view from the house was unbeatable and the adults spent a lot of time on the porch with a coffee or glass of wine, watching the boats come and go! The house is older, but all the appliances were updated and functional. Having a large number of bathrooms plus the outdoor shower was critical for us!

Stayed Jul 3, 2021We had a fantastic time at this house. The location is amazing, with incredible views of the harbor and easy access to town. The house is not fancy and has not been remodeled but it retains its old world charm and worked really well for us. There was plenty of space for everyone and multiple areas to hang out. We loved just sitting on the porch and watching the world go by or walking down to the beach.

Stayed Aug 22, 2020We had a fantastic time and a great birthday week for my father's 80th. The best thing about the house is the setting and location right on the water and walking distance to the town. We took advantage and spent most of our time on the porch and in the yard or down by the water. I personally loved everything about the house including the quirks. The rest of my party took some time to get used to the place. It was mentioned that it had no A/C but in the future consider mentioning that its a nearly 300 year old house with minimal renovations in the last several decades. Hope that helps.

Stayed Aug 15, 2020This home overlooks Vineyard Sound and Harbor. The view from 5 of the 6 bedrooms can’t be beat. The home is situated in an ideal location, on the water and also just a couple minutes walk to restaurants, shopping, coffee shops and the Ferry. We were concerned the Ferry horns would be very loud early mornings and nights, but honestly it wasn’t an issue at all. As the description states, this is a quaint historic home with hundreds of years of charm. Our group of 7 adults had plenty of space to spread out when we wanted to and come together as a group just the same. With almost every night spent outside on the porch, this is a trip we all enjoyed and one we would recommend to family and friends. Thank you!

Stayed Aug 8, 2020We had a really nice week visiting the Vineyard. Getting to Tisbury is a short walk and the private beach is quiet and relaxing. We had a hot week, so no A/C was a bit of a drag, but no one hid that from us going in. There were plenty of fans and everyone agreed that, on balance, we’d trade that minor inconvenience for a million dollar location and charming house. We’re already looking at availability next year!
