Historic House in Walkable East Nashville + 2.5 Miles to Downtown Nashville

The coziest stay! This home is so wonderful, comfortable, clean and charmingly decorated! Centrally located in East Nashville and the hosts are incredible. The house has everything you need and everything you didn’t know you needed! The kitchen has it all for travelers looking to cook and relax at the property. The accommodations for small children are incredible (high chair, baby monitor, black out curtains, baby bath and so many great toys and books). If we could give this property 10 stars we would! Highly recommend.

The property was spotless and beautiful and comfortable! Megan left no detail to chance. The kitchen is well stocked. Everything was lovely! We will be back soon!

This was the nicest house we've stayed at in Nashville. Very clean and Beautifully decorated. Love the Nashville decor! Newly renovated and very organized. Things were easy to find because of how everything had a place and the labels really helped. We went for the SEC basketball tournament and it was an easy and quick commute to downtown. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. It felt safe. We also enjoyed walking to the coffee place nearby. The beds were super comfortable and we slept great. I would definitely recommend and come back to stay here again.

As per usual, the southbound stays properties are always a pleasure to stay at! So comfy and cute. With everything you could need. Location is awesome and located on in the hip area of East Nashville. Can’t say enough about it except for it’s a great place to stay!

Adorable house with everything you could possibly need. Megan, the host, was super responsive whenever we had questions or needed anything. Neighborhood is great too with a coffee shop, grocery store, and pharmacy within a block or two. We’d definitely come back!!

This house is absolutely perfect, comfortable furniture and beds, lovely decor, clean and new appliances, super fast Wi-Fi, and a wonderful location with plenty of restaurants and shopping with a walkable distance (under a mile) and very easy to get downtown with rideshare. We were here for a game at Nissan Stadium and could not have been happier with both the house and the location. An additional bonus is having a fenced in front yard with the fact that it accepts dogs. 100% recommend, you will not be disappointed, it's like home away from home.

This home is so beautiful, comfortable and well equipped that we didn’t want to leave. It’s a great location near everything in Nashville but on a quiet street. The hosts are great, they have given you all the information you could want about the house and surrounding area. Lots of great communication!

One of the best places we have stayed in at Nashville.

I talked to host several times regarding our stay and she was super responsive and helpful. When we arrived at the property we were very happy with the accommodations, the property itself was updated with very nice finishing touches and the decor was definitely Easy Nashville ! The kitchen was well stocked (we love to cook together and eat together) and had enough plates and silverware for us to have 2 meals a day without having to wash dishes in between. There were extras in the baths in case you forgot something (which it seems someone in our group forgets something) like spray deodorant, new razors, and others. We would definitely recommend this property and this host, and since my sister lives about a mile from the property, may stay here again.

At the risk of sounding selfish and delusional, I want to keep pretending that the Country Cottage is my second home! We have been coming here for about five years now and it's really perfectly located for us because we have friends nearby and it's away (but not too far) from downtown. There are too many great things to mention, but I will try: A lovely front porch where we like to sip wine from Woodland Wine Shop and watch our dog sunbathe in the yard; the new massive shower in the master bedroom, the proximity to so many great restaurants, and most of all, the dog friendly and welcoming attitude of Megan. She truly does think of everything and is so accessible. Anyway, we had a great time and we will definitely be back again soon!

Seriously, Everything about this property is simply great. This is a classy, well thought out and strategically accessible home. The decor is SO stylish, quirky and fun, thoughtful, contemporary, and yet not ‘in your face’ at all. From the front porch and yard and throughout the house, the house seems to beg you to be comfortable and feel at home while maintaining its fresh, clean lines. When you stop and look at the details and contents of each room, you really appreciate the thought and enthusiasm put into this renovation. Furniture is very comfy without and engulfing you. In the back family room there are even cushy ottomans to rest your feet up on. There are four televisions in the house and I turntable with Albums! Thick velveteen blackout drapes complement the comfy bedrooms. The master bathroom is huge with separate toilet and a walk in closet. The guestroom is large and the beautiful guest bathroom is just out its doorway. Even the guestroom has double sinks and the tile surrounding the tub/shower is gorgeous. There are wood floors throughout, which makes it comfortable to walk without shoes. I loved the solid wood square dining room table that would comfortably seat eight folks with a variety of mismatched chairs. The kitchen was stocked almost as well as my own. With two living areas, it gave us a chance to each have our own space to read or watch TV during our downtime. The garage outback has been turned into a smaller rental, but no one was there while we stayed. House is in walking distance to Walgreens and countless restaurants. Nashville East is a very active area with nightlife and eateries everywhere. Didn’t track down the nearest coffee shop though. We were in town to visit friends who lived closer to Music Row so we weren’t in our neighborhood as much. And speaking of the neighborhood, it is very walkable. I literally would not hesitate to rent this spot. And next time we’ll probably bring our dog too. Hosts with Southbound Stays are marvelously friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic about what they do. I wish they had more rentals in more areas than just this area of Tennessee. Have y’all thought of branching out into Asheville area? Maybe a little bit of Weaverville or Lake Lure?? Oh, and don’t miss the Country Music Hall of Fame while you’re here. And take advantage of the zillions of places for live music.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The space was comfy, quiet, and very conveniently located. Hosts paid attention to all the little details. We would stay here again!
