Historic Charm + Modern Luxury: 6 Mi to Stowe Mtn

This is arguably the best independent place Ive stayed. What an amazing labor of love redoing this old historic barn. So cool!! Would definitely stay again! Great set up, very clean, great service!

Beautiful completely rebuilt small barn with loft with lots of reclaimed wood throughout. Owners have obviously put a lot of thought and effort into the building and furnishings. Close enough to everything - under 10 minutes to Stowe Mountain - but nice being a couple minutes off the main road (if you prefer quiet). Host was very responsive and accomodating.

The Barn was everything I hoped it was. The pictures are very accurate. Each year we take a trip to decompress, no schedules, no timelines, just relaxation. It more than fit that requirement. I have told all about this little gem. You would not be sorry if you stay here. The amenities are A.

A most excellent visit! The accommodations were so comfortable we found it challenging to leave and see the sites. Everything you need is onsite! They really put thought into all aspects of the barn: first rate fixtures, all the housewares you need, laundry etc..** A majority of the great restautants and bars are minutes away! Ask owner Jim about his preferences (like Woodland Coffee). We'd definitely come back. Perfect for couples!

Vermont has been on our bucket list for over 20 years. We are celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary next month and decided to take this trip. We flew in from Oregon on a red eye and was granted an early check in. I have very specific eating restrictions, Justina was amazing at leading me in the right direction and gave us lots of stuff to do while in Vermont. We were worried that owners are on the property, but they are not attached and keep to themselves, feels like a neighbor, but made sure they were accessible if needed. The barn is everything it says it is and more. So comfy, and cozy. The kitchen was comfortable for both of us to cook in and it was stocked with everything you would need to cook every meal with high end appliances and utensils. This is a MUST stay if traveling to Stowe. Thanks again for the amazing hospitality.

We arrived from a long weekend visiting NYC, so this place was the perfect recovery cabin for us The sweet treat and fresh local coffee was an added bonus—thank you. As for comfort, the bed was wonderful. The shower had great pressure and every little detail was thought of, from where to find the remotes for the TV and Bedroom fan, to the little shelves in the bathroom to put our things. We only wishedIt wasn’t in the middle of a record breaking heat wave, so the cute back patio could have been enjoyed more. We were very grateful for the cold A/C unit.The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking and baking.The high school across the street has a track we enjoyed walking around at sunset. Lots of great restaurants and an apple cider nearby that made our time memorable. After three nights I wasn’t ready to leave. It felt like home.We loved Artisan Coffee, Ben & Jerry’s, Cold Hollow Cider Mill and The Backyard.

The Barn was perfect in every way and exactly as pictured! Super clean and incredibly well stocked. The hosts were excellent to communicate with. We look forward to returning again soon!

Very nice place. Comfortable and clean

We spent three nights at this perfectly cozy little cottage barn! It had everything we needed for the two of us, but we both agreed the pullout bed in the loft would have been great for the kids. Everything was clean and comfy, and the host left great notes for places to visit or eat and drink. The location was even better, because you were close enough to everything but away enough to feel quiet relaxation! Would love to see a fire pit option for the outdoor seating area (especially to enjoy a cold beverage next to)!!

Amazing experience. Peaceful and defines seclusion. This property has everything you need for your ski / non ski getaway. Nicely renovated, clean, and nicely maintained. Also not to mention, minutes away from shops , restaurants and Stowe mountain. I definitely will be back for a getaway throughout the year. Thank you for putting care in making me feel home away from home!

My husband and I have a 3 month old and this was our first family trip. First time parents, first vacation, a bit nervous (mostly me! (mom)). Justina could not have been more accommodating, she offered a stroller when I told her my baby would be with us, and she extended the check out time without us asking because she knows how hard it can be with newborns and their schedule. Not only that, the place is perfect, everything is brand new with plenty of space. The bed is very comfortable and the shower gets super hot which I love! The house is in a perfect location, close to the mountain and close to the restaurants, and the view from the backyard is so peaceful. Just book it, trust me.

We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful, cozy home. We came for a 3 day ski trip. It was a perfect location 10 min from Stowe skiing and close to restaurants. Decorated beautifully and loved the exposed wood and iron accents.

We loved everything about the Barn! They had everything you could want or need. The decorating was so beautiful. You could tell a lot of thought and love has gone into making this a memorable rental!

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at “The Barn.” The owners did an amazing job designing the adorable space and making it feel like a home away from home. You have everything you need from makeup wipes in the bathroom to fresh coffee beans next to the coffee maker! The owners truly thought of everything. The location is also very close to restaurants and breweries, as well as downtown Stowe. This property is perfect for a girls weekend or a couples getaway! Highly recommend!!
