This home has been split into completely separate units. This listing is the front part of the house and has a large porch & yard.
This is an older home, and has great charm and character but it also comes with the creaks and cracks that occur over time.
Bathroom is located off the master bedroom
Street Parking -permit provided for one car
There is a small 1 car garage, but it is an older building.
Garage dimensions: 5'9" tall, 10'6" wide, 16'5" deep
There is NO dishwasher in this home
Trash - city cans for trash & recycling for both units are located on the west side of the house. You get to them by going through the gate on the west side of the house (walk outside and turn left)
Washer/dryer combo: Super energy efficient, but it takes hours to do a load, so start it when you go to bed or leave for the day. It dries through extraction, not with heat, so items are still slightly damp when the cycle is complete. This allows you to shake out wrinkles and hang to finish.
Minisplits in each room for HVAC
Home is regularly treated with non-toxic pest repellent. Still, this property is located in a historic neighborhood in the desert. Bugs are a part of life here in the southwest. While we make every effort to keep it spotless for guests, we cannot completely control nature and therefore you may see the occasional bug (specifically sugar ants). Please be aware of this and make sure you're ok with the possibility before booking.
Fireplace is no functioning, only decorative

It was a nice place, solid kitchen for making some meals, comfy bed and living room, overall a quaint place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch while reading a book.
This was a great place for us to stay while visiting family. Very clean, clear directions for everything in the house and a nice kitchen with all that we needed to cook some of our meals at the house.
So many VRBOs nowadays are sterile and bland and completely devoid of any character or charm. Taryn’s casita is loaded with charm and has the beautiful patina you would expect from a vintage home, but has been nicely updated where it matters and is clean as a whistle. The mini splits are super quiet and kept us cool during the unseasonably warm weekend we were here. The parking was plentiful and easy and the location is ideally located. We especially loved 2 nearby restaurants: Salt & Board and Mesa Provisions.
Overall good stay. Bathroom floor, baseboards and shower curtain could have been cleaner. Great location that met our needs in passing through.
So cute! Everything we needed including parking and a sunroom! Wanted to stay longer!
Property was well maintained and communication with the host was excellent. Very relaxing atmosphere. We used this as a base for our sightseeing. Would definitely recommend this property to others.
Cute older house with great access to all over town. Near freeway and restaurants as well as the university. Parking took a minute to understand and was easy thereafter. Street parking Is allowed 24/7 in front of house with the supplied parking permit. READ the welcome packet in the house; so much faster that way. Had a great time./ Recommend.
Clean, quiet.
Enjoyed our stay
We enjoyed three days in Taryn’s little bungalow. The location was great for access to freeways for our explorations of Albuquerque and area sites. This home was a perfect place to unwind at the end of busy days of sightseeing. The king size bed is amazingly comfortable, and the living room cozy and welcoming. A great place to stay in Albuquerque!
Traveling by myself this time, I felt very safe in this house. I had a more stressful trip, not pleasurable visit this time, so I was glad for a safe place to unwind.. plus is an easy location for me to go where I needed. The weather was not cooperating for an everyday view of the Sandia’s, but I know it’s a gorgeous way to rise. I hope it’s available when I need to come back .. thanks Taryn
This place was extremely nice and affordable for a short vacation here. I would definitely come back and stay here in the future.
The house was clean, quiet and secure. The bed is very comfortable, the shower works great and the hot water is fast. Very clean and well-stocked kitchen. Comfortable furniture. Great neighborhood. Communication with landlord was excellent. I would gladly stay here again!
Nice Property 2 blocks from UNM - ask for Garage Use (Prius fit easily) Very Clean Nice Porch for B-fast or Cocktails
This place is adorable. Nice little place is just perfect for a couple. We had an excellent time here. Near the University and bus stops. We didn't even rent a car. We used the public transportation system, which is currently free. The house has everything needed. Eateries galore in the neighborhood. We would stay here again if returning.
My husband and I loved this house- the wood floors, the high ceilings, the enclosed porch. The host was fantastic, as good as any rental owner I’ve ever worked with. So warm and professional. We had a great meal in the courtyard of El Patio.
