Great place to reconnect and gather with great friends. Perfect to have a place to get together and have a room of your own and get a taste of Boston.
Kate was awesome through and through. From letting us check-in early, to the place being bigger and nicer than the pictures indicated, everything was perfect. We even decided we didn't need a car and just used public transit. Thanks!
The home was exactly as described and perfectly located for a family to enjoy exploring the city. Parking though was very difficult during the week and I would suggest leaving your car at home.
Relatively secluded property, quiet (narrow!) street, short walk to the T and also shops, grocery store. Basketball court (outdoor) nearby! Kathryn was attentive as needed, though we admittedly were without a means of getting into the property for awhile when we arrived --- in hindsight, not a big deal but stressful at the time. Three floors, so if you're not good going up/down stairs, you might look for another place. Thanks for the hospitality, Kathryn!
This location is excellent! Owner was very responsive when things were not as described in listing. Overall would stay again due to owners response to issues. The home was beautiful, location was incredible only issue was cleaning staff and landscapers did not do what they were expected too.
Everything was great. Your home worked perfectly for the group of 6 we had staying there. Beautifully furnished and kitchen well appointed. We alternated Ubering and walking back and forth to and from the North End. We were pleasantly surprised at how close it was.. I had been to Boston many times (my daughter went to school there), but had never spent any time in Charlestown. What a charming neighborhood. Clean. Safe. Friendly. Picturesque. We frequented the Warren Tavern and Monument. Best of all, we dodged the predicted rain and had perfect sunny fall New England weather. Overall a great experience. Thank you for sharing your home.
We had a great stay! The photos of the property were very accurate. The neighborhood was quiet and walkable, plus convenient to sightseeing. Highly recommend!
The house is really amazing. It is warm and comfortable with all of the modern touches yet it feels old and connected with the history of Boston. The neighborhood is charming and it's an easy walk to a grocery store. We were there over the weekend, so we could park, but if you are staying during the week, be aware that all the parking around is restricted to residents. We wish we'd been able to stay longer.
Very cool, historic Brownstone right in the middle of Charlestown. 5 minutes to North End, Back Bay & Beacon Hill, Chinatown. Easy to get to the North Shore for Beaches & a wicked roast beef sandwich! ??? Highly recommended!!!
We celebrated an important birthday. One of three children (Daughter/son-in-law) reside in Boston. My husband and I live in coastal S.C.; one son/sister-in-law from L.A.; another son from Philadelphia. We opted to gather in Boston. The property was clean; decently furnished; good appliances; and, a valuable outdoor space. But, the location is not close (walking distance) to any Boston attractions. Lastly, the thermostats were not controllable. Five rather intelligent people were unable to decipher the a/c controls. Painfully cold. Unnecessary waste of energy. It bothered us that we could not operate the a/c for three nights/four days.
Home was fantastic. Super clean. Host was amazing. Great location. Walk easily to all in Charlestown, North End and beyond. No brainer to book this home again for our next visit.
We had a very busy week so it was wonderful to have a place to stay that was comfortable and quiet. Great spot to see Boston or Cambridge and return. Owner is very responsive. The VRBO is clean and everything works. Beds are comfortable and showers have excellent pressure and ample hot water. We’d stay here again!
This was a gorgeous house - complete with high ceilings, luxurious spa tub, fabulous backyard, and interesting art work. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood was simply delightful.
Great house with plenty of space. Well decorated in a great neighborhood. Easy to get anywhere in the area from this house. Kate is quick to respond to your needs. It's definitely a great option.....
This house is beautiful I would live in it myself if I could. Kathryn was a great host super helpful with all of our needs as I was there with my family for the Boston Marathon.
Home looked just as presented online. Beautiful decor with comfortable furnishings. Walking distance to coffee shops, grocery, restaurants, and historical landmarks like Bunker Hill and the USS Constitution. The landlord checked in with us daily and was very responsive to correct, when we shared some minor issues. Only drawback is that the home is not for those with mobility issues. Stairs are steep to navigate. All in all we highly recommend and had an excellent stay!!
