A wonderful location with a remarkable view, the Master bedroom was beautiful, also with a breathtaking view of the city. The second bedroom was not as charming, with a tricky bathroom shower that had no door, no enclosure, just a drain in the tile floor. As the shower curtain didn't reach all the way to the floor, water tended to run everywhere. Meanwhile, there were cobwebs above the doors and window in the bedroom. I'm assuming the second bedroom/bath is rarely used. The kitchen had no lights -- I couldn't see over the stove, couldn't use it at night and No light, as well over the kitchen sink. The dishwasher was nowhere near the sink -- cups and dishes had to be rinsed and then walked over to the dishwasher. When we opened the freezer to get ice cubes (the outer cube dispenser didn't work), the entire freezer compartment was covered in two inches of frost. The deck had a fantastic view, but needs attention. In some sections, there were knots of wood missing from the planks, and you could see right through - making me feel unsafe. The cushions for the outdoor chairs were tattered and worn, and need replacing. The toilet plumbing was difficult, hardly flushed- in both baths. We understand the temperamental nature of the plumbing in LA and surrounding area and are quite mindful of it, but with detailed instructions on how to use a plumbers helper -- we were never relaxed about the bathrooms. Lighting was a real issue for us in the main living area. With only one hanging light over the island, one floor lamp near the slider and several very small concealed ceiling dimmers, I needed to use the light on my iphone to read anything until daylight. For the money charged, I expected much better, but it was a unique apartment with a magnificent view.

This place is wonderful! If you like dirty, and dicusting! It is very dangerous! There is only one way in and out!(very illegal) If there was a fire you would have to jump 30 feet over the balcony! The Netflix was in Dutch! The internet didn't work for the first 2 days of my trip! The railing is braking, every chair cushion is ripped, you can't go bare foot cuz nails are sticking up every where! I've stayed at a lot of places! This was by far the worst VRBO I've stayed at!

The property needs serious updating and the plumbing is questionable. The directions in the home were adequate but made it clear the owners “were not your personal tour guides”. Have stayed in a lot of vacation homes and this one was not one of the best. It is well located with a great view.

Have you ever been on a business trip for a week and not want to go home quite yet? That is exactly how I felt while staying at this beautiful home nestled in the Hollywood Hills. The views of the city were spectacular day and night. Morning coffee on the large balcony overlooking Hollywood was delightful. You could not ask for a more convenient location. We were close to everything and yet the house was always quiet and peaceful. Yamashiro Japanese restaurant is within site of the house and walking distance. Nearly all Lyfts were no more than $6 locally. Now more about the hosts of the property. Incredibly nice and helpful. Easy to contact. Response time was quick and always courteous. We were quite impressed. Almost forgot to mention the beds were comfortable and the house very clean. We plan to try to stay here again while in town for the next business trip. This is our new favorite HomeAway!

I stayed here with my husband for a week and we had such a great experience staying here.... what a great value! We needed to stay within a certain budget so my husband was a bit skeptical when I told him about the amazing place I found in the Hollywood Hills next to all the citys' major attractions... and a skyline city view to top it all off. He can be a little particular at times and not always the easiest to please so even I was pleasantly surprised to find that he was extremely happy with the property. I'd definitely recommend booking this home to anyone who might still be on the fence.

This 2 bedroom is just up the hill from the “Magic Castle” – in fact, James, the owner, told us that if we were interested he could get us an “invite” to this private club because he is a lifetime member. The views of LA are fantastic and even though it sits below another unit, there was no noise at all from the upstairs guests. For four people, the price was right, and this place was clean and the décor was really unique.

I was a bit nervous at first renting this home, as the price was quite reasonable especially when you have a group of 4 or 5 and would have needed 2 hotel rooms. Also, the booking agent was forthright and told us that there was some construction in the neighborhood (we appreciated the honesty) and also that the home is a “duplex”, and sits below another rental. Nonetheless, we decided to throw caution to the wind, and booked it. We were pleasantly surprised – everything was clean, the views of LA were phenomenal (especially at night), and the other issues (construction and duplex-style) never really bothered us at all. The house is literally 3 minutes down to the Sunset Strip. We would definitely rent again if we returned to LA

I brought my daughter and her family to LA for an early Christmas and this rental was just gorgeous. The views of the city were better than we expected and we felt very welcomed by the owner and online booking agent (who was very available to us if we ever had questions). We most definitely will come back and want to stay in the owners other retreat style houses as well!

Nice view of downtown Los Angeles! I enjoyed my time in this property, just wish I could've stayed longer. Hopefully the whole family can come again soon!
