With the Highland Sage as your home base in Durango, you will be able to park your car and walk everywhere in town. Walk four blocks and arrive at the heart of downtown with its restaurants, cafes, shops and the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.

The home is a pleasant and comfortable half-duplex with a fully enclosed landscaped back yard with patio and grill. There are three bedrooms and one bath. Kitchen and bath are updated and kitchen is well-equipped with stainless steel pots and pans, nice dishware, and organic staples. The queen bedroom is on one side of the living room and kitchen, and the double and single rooms are on the other side. The twin room contains a desk should guests want a dedicated workspace. The Highland Sage offers plenty of storage in closets, kitchen cabinetry, and a large mudroom which is great for gear storage. The beds are are solid, plush and comfortable. A good night's sleep is key! Evaporative cooling in the Summer also provides for restful nights.

In addition to Main Avenue and downtown, walk several blocks to the Nature Trail and Sky Steps. The neighborhood is pedestrian and dog-friendly and the block on which the Highland Sage resides is especially quiet and peaceful.

Guests are welcome to bring two pups, provided they don't get on furniture and aren't big barkers. No cats (sorry). Note that after booking, you will receive a brief rental agreement to review and sign with basic items such as no parties or events and pet authorization if applicable.

The Highland Sage has dedicated use of the fenced backyard while the other half of the duplex has dedicated use of the front deck, allowing for privacy and each for each of the homes.

The Highland Sage has a large entry room for gear storage and extensive kitchen cabinetry. With this and the backyard to stretch out, the Highland Sage is a great choice for longer stays.

    This house was INCREDIBLE! Not only location but Victoria was awesome!The house had everything we needed and more. The backyard was a favorite for our dog Jackson and the location was a short walk to downtown, one of our favorite places. I would recommend it to everyone and we will be back. I can't say enough good about it!!!!

    This is a great location in Durango and the host (Victoria) is so helpful and sweet. The layout of the unit is a little tight in the kitchen but the backyard was great for our two dogs and we managed just fine. The street is quiet, the neighbors kind, also a very walkable location to local restaurants/shops. Definitely recommend staying here or in any other of Victoria’s rental properties.

    This home is cozy and comfortable with a tremendous backyard. We slept great and spent most of our waking hours in the backyard, reading, while our little dog ran around. Everything in the home is modern and clean. The appliances all work great and we never ran out of hot water. The yard is well-maintained and free of weeds. The parking area is private, located at the back of the house, just outside the back gate. Trash and recycling bins are easily accessible and bear resistant. The area is pedestrian and pet friendly with shops and restaurants less than a 10-minute walk from the home. Everyone is polite and friendly.The owner is wonderful and quickly answers texts or emails. We plan to make this our frequent vacation destination.
