Beautiful setting for this property. The unit is elf was wonderful. It was outfitted with all the necessary utensils and the quality was excellent. Beds were comfortable. Baths had excellent toiletries and towels.The setting again was excellent. Only issue the sun coming the patio door in the late afternoon made the room hot. Would be nice if there was some kind of blind or shades that would be nice but this is a small issue and does nothing to take away from the beauty of the unit and it's setting. We also ate at the Cliffside grill in the lodge. Great food and experience.

We have stayed at Tamaron in the past and wanted to visit it again. It is amazing to see how it is changed over the years we stayed in a two bedroom condo. It was a very clean condo with great views of the mountains and the golf course behind it. We brought a lot of cleaning and laundry supplies but found they were all provided and that there was a washer dryer in the unit. We thought we were going to have to use the communal washer so that was a nice surprise. Check in and check out was a breeze. The grandkids loved the pool and the playground. The service at The Prospector was superb.

We spent time in Durango, rode the Durango/Silverton Narrow Guage Train, hiked in the San Juan National Forest and drove the loop to Silverton, Ourey, Telluride, Cortez, and back to Tamarron as highlights to our trip. Tamarrron HighPoint 584's location worked perfectly as a jumping off point for us. And the accommodations were exactly what we needed for relaxing between side trips. We don't play golf, but its setting within a mountain golf resort is beautiful. If you don't golf, at least take a walk around the resort's golf-cart/walking paths, it's breathtaking. If your stay is for the purpose of downhill skiing, Purgatory Resort is a drive of just under 10 miles north from Tamarron HighPoint. Enjoy! We certainly did.

However, there are some items that need to be addressed by the owner. Hopefully this is useful information:1) The upstairs master bath sink drain is clogged with hair. I removed what I could so the sink will now drain but it's still very slow. 2) Reported previously - the wall outlet next to the sink is not working. Everything else in the immediate area works so it may be a loose connection in the outlet3) The living area needs some kind of pole or table lamp on a table especially for reading. 4)The only light in the sitting area is the overhead fan/light. The bulbs are LED and the wall dimmer is not LED compatible so you can only dim the bulbs so far. Either replace the bulbs with incandescent or replace the dimmer with an LED compatible one. We also purchased a $7 battery for the remote so we could operate the fan. The fan will not operate without the remote control. 5) There is no remote control for the TV so the only way to change the INPUT to HDMI 1 for the DVD player or back to HDMI for Direct TV is to use the buttons on the back of the TV. You can't read them because you can't see them (TV is mounted on the it's guesswork until you figure out which one it is.The TV is a Sanyo and we looked all over but no Sanyo remote.6) There is a ROKU remote but there does not appear to be a ROKU unit plugged into any of the HDMI ports on the back of the TV. It is non-functional and would be very useful for streaming Hulu, Netflix, etc. 7) There needs to be a sheet with basic instructions on the use of the electronics and the fireplace. I Googled the fireplace mfr site tp get operation instructions so we figured it out. 8) We switched a lightbulb from the desk to the loft bedroom but the one at the desk needs replacing. We didn't find any extra light bulbs.
