As the host and homeowner I take pride in providing professional level accomodations upon request at no extra cost (depending on the request, but for the most part any special requests - like extra pillows or extra bathroom linens, etc. - are generally free).
We take pride in being available, providing timely responses to messages and willing to make special accommodations upon request providing sufficient time and reasonability. Our peaceful and private oasis located within walking distance of the Chesapeake Bay is located in the town of North Beach, MD. This town of North Beach, MD truly is a hidden gem!
This sleepy little town on the Bay is quiet, safe, and has all the great attractions of a vacation destination without the expensive price tags of your average beach house and conveniently located just an hour south of Washington D.C. and Baltimore, Md.
We try to be extremely competitive with our prices. If you find a similar property in the area listed for less please send us a message and the property ID Number and we WILL take the time to review your request and actually match the nightly price pending a brief preliminary review and availability!
Our home has 3 bedrooms, 3 beds (The master bedroom has SUPER comfortable queen sized tempur-pedic mattress!) and one full bath, two decks; one on the front of the house and the other is a spacious deck attached to the back of the house. The back deck is accessible from the gorgeous sunroom which makes it conveniently close to the kitchen for enjoying meals outside or in the brightly light (four season) sunroom! Both the sunroom and the deck overlooks a beautiful garden and has an absolutely gorgeous view of our famously beautiful Chesapeake Bay sunrises!!!
The back yard is enclosed with a 6ft tall wooden fence providing an addition layer of privacy on top of the privacy achieved from the natural vegetation and trees surround all sides of the house.
On the spacious back deck you will find one of everyone’s favorite places to gather; the propane fireplace-table (the main attraction year round is the sunroom). Additionally, the back deck has a large outdoor dinning table and matching chairs (total of 6 matching chairs - fits 6 adults comfortably but capable of seating 8).
The property is only a 10 min walk from the sandy beach of the Chesapeake Bay and the shops along the boardwalk!
The boardwalk is very popular (but I’ve never thought it was/is too crowded even on special occasions like during Sunday farmers markets and days when concerts are put on. It’s popular for a run or a casual stroll or a great spot to fish (fishing is only permitted on the pier - Both the beach and fishing pier is free to local residents amd their guests (that means you - anyone who stays at my home is a guest of me (a permanent resident) and so you are permitted free access to the local beach (closest to the property).
The boardwalk that runs along the beach has many shops owned by locals that include antiques, fine arts, novelties, wine, ice cream and gifts amd so much more. There are great restaurants, bars, and bakeries in town that offer casual and fine dining. North Beach truly is a hidden gem!
Another place to enjoy the beaches of the Chesapeake Bay is located just a few minutes further from the house (located about 500 yards past Roland’s grocery store) called, Brownies Beach. I highly recommend visiting especially if you brought your dog with you!
Brownies Beach is only a 5 minute drive from the property where you can park (for free - you’ll see signs saying if your not a local resident you aren’t allowed to be there (or you must pay) and threatens fines and penalties and things - don’t let these signs scare you away. Local residents and their guests are permitted access (luckily you fall into the "guest" category)!
It’s called Brownies beach and the address is as follows.

This was a great place to stay for a night. Yes the sulfur smell is a thing with the hot water BUT the home itself is very nice. Patio, bedrooms and bathroom with a sunroom areas as well. Exactly what me and my friends needed and it was a great location.
Convenient location. Excellent host. Very happy. Thanks Casey!
We enjoyed the proximity to the downtown type area and boardwalk- we LOVED wheelhouse for watermelon crush, Mexican place (quesaburria quesadilla so good) and the coffee shop (great Chai and lemon bars -the best!). Also close to Solomon Island which we also loved (island hideaway for food and for some entertainment- Tiki Bar). Casey was incredibly friendly and responsive! The highlights besides proximity were the chairs outside on the top deck and the fireplace and fenced in back yard. The negatives- the sulfur smell is definitely overpowering in all things. We could barely shower or brush our teeth. It smelled the whole house up if you did (I come from up north Midwest and can definitely handle some bad smells -hello cow manure- but a long relaxing shower was a no go). There was not another way to drink water like a Britta/water bottles etc. luckily we did bring our own! The pictures were a little outdated as some stuff was broken or scuffed up- it seems like they went to goodwill and put everything of ok standing into the home as the decorations are a little odd. The backyard is definitely not kept up with so it was easy to loose my 50 lb dog in some brush. BUT we were barely there and it allowed my dog to get out and owner was responsive and friendly. (We also recommend updating the binder- it’s my favorite part of places where I stay and a lot of the stuff in the binder was not the most up to date or even remotely helpful). Even with all that- we would stay again.
When we got to the property it had no electricity. The owner said it was due to mismarked construction. The sulfur smell from the well was very very strong and we really do not think that we would have been able to stay there for the smell alone. Very cute place, I wish it would have worked out and I didn't have to spend my vacation sleeping on a friend's couch because we couldn't book another hotel due to no availability and we had our dog.
Very satisfying as the house is lovely and has only useful and practical things in it. No clutter. Kitchen utensils and basic needs are met. Proximity to the boardwalk is ideal. Closeness to St Anthony Church is perfect! Thank you!
Fantastic place to stay: clean, great layout (the screened-in porch was a primary gathering place for family members who came to celebrate my great-nephew’s first birthday. My two dogs felt right at home (loved the fenced-in back yard and the deck). With an elderly aunt who lives 30 minutes away and my sister’s family who lives 10 minutes away, I know I’ll be returning to North Beach, and I hope to time my future visits to the availability of Casey’s home.
A group of friends and I went to Chesapeake Beach for a get away. This place we in a good location and was perfect for 5 people. The morning was nice on the screened in porch. The owner was very responsive and helpful. My only complaint was the kitchen was not very well stocked. There were only three coffee mugs for instance. I know the owner is new to renting so this will probably be fixed in time. Other than that we enjoyed the stay.
Would definitely return! Our stay at Casey’s property while in town for my baby shower was great. Casey was very accommodating in my last minute request to extend our stay, and checked in multiple times throughout. Being able to bring our dogs was a lifesaver, and they loved the fenced in yard and laying in the sun on the back deck. Thanks for everything Casey!
My family (husband and 2 teenage boys) stayed here for a weekend to catch an Orioles game without having to stay in Baltimore itself. The house was very nice. We had plenty of room, and we loved the deck and back screened in porch area. We spent a rainy Saturday playing games back there, and it was perfect. Before staying here I read a review about how bad the water smells (rotten eggs). While the water does smell pretty bad, my teenage boys were able to get over it pretty quickly. It’s not ideal, but it definitely is not a breaker in my mind. The owner was kind enough to stock bottled water as well as other drinkable water which we appreciated. We did run out of toilet paper and it would have been nice if there was extra, but that is also on me for not messaging the owner. It is a short 1/2 mile or so walk to the water and boardwalk which was great! The location is what we were there for, and it definitely did not disappoint. I would stay here again if I were in town again without question.
This is a cute home and lended itself to a nice stay. The accommodations were nice and updated with the exception of the water, which smelled horribly of sulfur/rotting eggs. My kids nearly refused to shower in it. If you have young children be mindful because they will not want to take a bath in it. There were some broken appliances and several sticky notes throughout about things not to use/change/touch. When my dogsitter canceled last minute I had to bring my pup along. I did so only after checking the listing and seeing it was dog-friendly. I didn't see mention of an additional cost so didn't think anything of it. However, the owner reached out during our stay to note they saw the dog on one of the cameras. I was not trying to hide it and was happy to pay the extra cleaning fee, but it was unsettling to think that we were being watched while there. While we liked the home and area, I would not likely stay again unless I knew the water situation was fixed.
