This was our second time staying here! We stayed a week. Ms Willene is always so friendly and helpful! Location is great, short drive to Helen, Brasstown Bald and many other state parks. Also only a little over 2 hour drive to Gatlinbur/Pigeon Forge. Late afternoon we enjoyed grilling, the relaxing atmosphere of the river and feeding the fish. One of our best vacations!! Looking forward to our next mountain vacation her!!

Relaxing!! First night we grilled, had some wine and built a fire in the fire pit. Best nights sleep I’ve had in years!! The perfect ending from a long drive! It’s great location near all the places we wanted to visit. We are already planning our late spring/early vacation here!! Thank you Ms Willene!! You are the best!!

Had a nice little area for a campfire beside the river. Willene was as nice as can be. We will be back

My husband and I spent five relaxing days at this cozy cabin. As stated in other reviews, it is right off the main road and is a duplex-type cabin. We were expecting this and found the cabin and the host, Mrs. Willene, to be quite charming. The kitchen was well-stocked and there were plenty of linens available. The couch was cozy and the bed slept well. The star of the show, however, was the river out back (accessed by a stone staircase). We built a fire in the fire pit and enjoyed sitting by the relaxing stream and feeding the trout that hang out there. I’m pretty sure the other half of the duplex was occupied during our stay, but we never heard them. This place was a relaxing GEM, and we are grateful for its affordable rate. We will be back!

We enjoyed our time in your lovely cabin. The bed was most comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We loved grilling and sitting by the water and my husband enjoyed watching the fish. Great hospitality. We visited the Bigfoot Museum, Bell Mountain, Brasstown Bald and Helen on our way home. great day

Enjoyed the stay. Cabin was well equipped and clean. was a bit from Hiawassee or restaurants and businesses. A lot of traffic on Hwy 17 as cabin was close to road.

The cabin was nice and comfy. It was a little dirty and dusty. The bathtub was not very clean. The highway made it noisy at night when trying to sleep. Overall was a nice stay and we enjoyed it.

The cabin was located in a fantastic area. The area was secluded but not so distant from another house that I didnt feel isolated in the hills of GA.The cabin was clean and very well insulated from the 20 degree outside temperature. And the bedroom was basically blacked out which provided for some great sleepWillene is a wonderful host

This is our first time using the platform, and it was definitely a winner. She is very knowledgeable about the area and a great hostess. My wife and I and our pup had a great time. He loves the water and enjoyed the river immensely despite the fact that it was cold. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to use the fire pit, but other than that we made a great use of the area and got to do a lot of things that my wife has never had the chance before to do. Would definitely stay again.

The place was perfect, the hostess was so sweet - I loved it! The other reviews about the highway noise were true, but there was a big fan in the bedroom that was loud enough to drown out the highway sounds. The little creek was so peaceful!
