Heron Point - Amazing Property with Breathtaking Water Views - Luxury Hot Tub!

Everything about the property was perfect!

Another wonderful stay at Heron Point Three years in a row for us and we hope to come back next year!

We had a wonderful stay at Heron Point. It was January and I knew it would be cold, so having a hot tub, a game room and a theater were high on our list. Heron Point did not disappoint. With 8 adults and 7 children (ages 2-14) there was something for everyone. The home was spacious and clean, the theater, game room and hot tub were spectacular, and the host was easy to communicate with. We highly recommend!

We could not have enjoyed our stay any more. Having the entire family together for the first time in 6 years in such a beautiful house was unbelievable! All of the amenities were wonderful and al ten of us had more than enough to keep us entertained. If everyone's schedule can be coordinated, we have already talked about doing this again next year at Heron Point. Thank you for everything!!! Only comments I got from the group regarding wishes were more dish towels and bath towels.Charlie

Great host! It is beautiful home with wonderful views of the lake. I love how everything is labeled for ease of use. You don't have to wander around trying to figure out which light switch controls which light. For large family gathering or small corporate retreat, this home is great!

After five family Thanksgivings at this lovely location, it just keeps getting better. Our family feels it would not be Thanksgiving if we were not a Heron Point. bFrom the house to the host, it just doesn't get any better.

Loved that the wood was stocked for the fire pit and the numerous comfy places inside and out are wonderful for making great memories with family and friends.

This is an absolutely stunning property. We had a great family reunion at Heron Point. The dock and hot tub were our favorite features. The views were fabulous from all the decks and the fire pit was great fun.

Not many places are better than the photos but Heron Point is and the photos make it look exceptional. Incredibly clean, very well stocked with everything you need. Very responsive property management as well. One of the best rentals I have ever had.

This is the best house I’ve stayed at in years of staying at lake houses. Everything worked and everything was very nice and everything was clearly labeled with instructions. By way of example, they have a movie theater with a large projection screen probably 100 inches with instructions on exactly how to make it work. It was just a little things like that all over the house that made it so nice. Even the showers had instructions. Can’t say I’ve ever been anywhere where not only everything worked, but everything was also explained. It’s a giant house with comfortable furniture and it’s well decorated right on the lake. Cannot be happier and will definitely be staying here again!

Beautiful house with great amenities and entertainment!

This home is beautiful! It has magnificent views, comfortable accommodations and lots of room for visiting and many fun activities for all ages. The host promptly answered any questions we had and was very kind and helpful. The house was very clean and the kitchen is well-appointed. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Our family had a wonderful time celebrating my mom’s 70th Birthday. The property was amazing!

Our family (3 sons, 3 daughters-in-law and 6 grandchildren) do an annual summer vacation. We have been to the Outerbanks, Deep Creek Lake, Panama, Rehoboth Beach, the Thousand Islands, and some others. Everyone (even the 3 year olds) told us that this house at SML was the best vacation venue yet! - and I agree. Plenty of room for everybody, a game room, a huge movie theater room with state of the art video and sound systems.Easy access dock - we rented a TriToon boat from Mitchell's Marina & Restaurant, a 5 minute drive from the house. Only one disappointment - Thery have a strict no pet policy, which I get. I wouldn't want big, shedding dogs coming out of the lake and into my house (the fam has a total of 5 of those types of dogs and they were all boarded). But my wife and I have a 10 pound, non-shedding, hypo-allergenic Maltese - basically a lap dog. The no pets policy has no flexibility - that was our only dissappointment. And for those who have never been to SML before, there is maybe 60 miles of winding roads through a rural area of farmland and gravel roads to get to house - everyone was wondering where we were headed and concerned about what we would find when we got to our destination. All totally wasted worry - once you arrive and take a look around, you will realize it was well worth the trip.

It was wonderful. Well equiped kitchen. Nice dock. Plenty of kayak, paddle boards, canoes. Great swimming areas, with shallow places for kids. Media room was a hit for kids when it rained or they were tuckered out. Beautiful place. We plan to go back. Perfect place for a family reunion

We had high expectations for this property and were not disappointed. One of the best equipped rental properties we have stayed in. Extremely comfortable and beautiful spot to gather large family for a wedding over Memorial Day weekend. Great memories made. Thank you!

Heron Point couldn't have been more perfect. From the open kitchen and living area to the large deck and entertainment space downstairs, this house had it all. Even with 16 of us, it didn't feel cramped at all. Large back yard which allowed us to sprawl out and enjoy the weather. Having a private boat ramp was a plus and keeping our boat tied up at the dock worked wonderfully. We are sure to come back next year for our annual getaway!

Beautiful Lake House! Perfect location! We love this house and have rented it on numerous occasions, and hope to do so again. The house comes fully equipped just as described! Nothing lacking. I cannot say enough good things about it.

We enjoyed a wonderful getaway at this beautiful home. We had a group spanning a large age range and everyone was content in this space. The hot tub was a nice addition this year. Looking forward to coming back next year. Wonderful home and host.

We are a large group of friends that travel frequently and have stayed in a variety of AirBB's and Vrbos. This one far exceeded any of our stays. We never had to leave the property because everything we wanted to do was there. ie. Movie room , game room, fire pit, Hot Tub, puzzles, etc. Everything was provided in the kitchen. The views of the lake were amazing. This house is an all year around vacation home. It was truly amazing. The pictures don't describe the beauty of this home.We can't wait to go back again

Heron Point is a BEAUTIFUL property! All of our out of town wedding guests were able to stay under one roof and spend time together. There was plenty of room for everyone and the movie theater was a family favorite! Thank you! We will be back!

When you go on vacation, why stay or rent something which is less than your own home? This property far exceeds everything that you would call normal. From the house with the awesome game room and theater, to the hot tub, to the pier and boathouse, and the landscaping in between, this house will blow you away.

The location is wonderful! Lake view is gorgeous! The cinema is of high quality, we watched a movie every night and played some video games on the big screen. We loved the hot tub, fire pit, games in the game room.

Thankful to get the opportunity to stay at this magnificent home for 3 perfect nights. 15 people stayed, we never once felt crammed or crowded. There are so many areas to congregate. We cooked every meal there, used both grills. Everything is so clearly marked and easy to locate in the kitchen. We had a non stop fire pit, have never stayed at a place that provided so much wood! The hot tub was wonderful, super clean. The furniture was all very solid and sturdy, the beds comfortable. Now I want a rainshower head, what a nice touch. =) We watched some NFL in the theater room, played pool, jammed to the Alexa driven juke box, played shuffleboard and video games.....there is just truly nothing these owners haven't thought of. The grounds are stunning, so well maintained and landscaped. The dock got a lot of use, but seriously, 7 grown men couldn't catch a SINGLE FISH! LOL This truly was the best location, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return. Something else to note--usually guests are asked to do quite a bit of cleaning prior to check out at previous homes we have stayed. We felt odd not being asked to even strip the beds! Mr Rob was SUPER responsive, and very kind to let us in earlier and stay a little later since there weren't guests arriving just before or after us. The peaceful location was perfection for our group of friends, and we would love to see it in every season. Thank you again for the wonderful memories!

Heron Point is an amazing property with so many wonderful features and amenities! A beautiful home, location, and privacy. There are so many things to do or just sit and enjoy the lake around the fire pit or on the dock! A great place for a family gathering of all ages! This is the third time we’ve stayed here in 4 years as it’s become a great spot for our friends across the country to hang out together and reconnect! The house has everything you need to host for a fun week. We had 18 people and the house did not feel small. We’ve previously stayed during the fall and this time we came in the summer and it was the perfect season to take advantage of all the kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards that come with the property. Used the fire pit in the evenings and the game and theatre room multiple times. Can’t wait till we come back!

This property and house are simply gorgeous! The location is perfect and it had all the perks! By far the best our my family has stayed at in the nearly 20 years we've been coming to the lake!

This was the sixth year in a row that we stayed at Heron Point House. Obviously, we are delighted with the house itself, its location and immediate access to the lake and other water sports. The Owner Rob Saunders has always been responsive to any issues which might arise. For example, one of the basins was clogged and Rob had a plumber to the house to resolve the problems within 2 hours. We just had a five-star weeklong visit to Heron Point with the quality of the house, its furnishing, improved landscape, lots of canoes and kayaks with a well-furnished dock to meet all of our demands and desires.
