Island Park, Idaho
Important Health Notice for our 2023 Vacation Rental Guests:
There is currently a “boil water order" from the State of Idaho for the community well water supplied to this home (see below) however you will not need to boil any tap water if you use the drinking water we have provided to all of our rental guests. The owner has provided a 5-gallon water dispenser in the kitchen (with several full 5-gallon refill bottles always on site) of high quality, pure drinking water bottled and delivered by the Culligan company, for our guests to use for drinking, food preparation, washing dishes, making ice and brushing teeth.
It is safe to bathe in the tap water, but do not ingest it. Sanitary dish washing is easy, by putting the dishwasher on the sanitation cycle, which uses a high temperature setting, and using "heated dry”. Any items that don’t fit in the dishwasher can be washed in hot soapy drinking water in the sink for 30 seconds, then rinsed with the drinking water. (All soaps that you’ll need are provided for you at this home.) We recommend that laundry should be done at the hot setting.
This protocol (recommended by the Idaho Dept. of Environmental Quality) has been used successfully and safely by thousands of people in situations such as this. We have had a full schedule of rental groups (since the problem was detected in May 2023) that have all used these protocols without any health issues, and have enjoyed their 2023 vacations here.
Here are the details of the “boil water order” as stated by the State of Idaho:
The rental property is subject to an Idaho Department of Environmental Boil Water Order, which is available to read at : https://www.deq.idaho.gov/deq-issues-boil-water-order-for-goose-bay-estates-aspen-ridge-subdivision-valley-view-subdivision-and-shotgun-cherokee-subdivision-island-park/
Water used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and preparing food must be boiled for at least one minute. Using bottled water is an acceptable alternative.

The cabin was awesome. We spent most of our time at Yellowstone but it was nice to relax in front of the fireplace at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Drank coffee on the deck and waited for the moose to make his daily visit. Really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.
We loved our stay here!! This house was so well stocked and furnished with everything we needed and more. The location to Yellowstone was great. We enjoyed the views of the lake, the mountains and the wildlife. Especially the moose! Would come back in a minute and highly recommend to others.
This is a wonderful gem a short drive to West Yellowstone and the entrance to Yellowstone. It is a new home with everything in pristine conditions. A short walk to a state park where I caught a very large trout within 45 minutes. The photos of the view absolutely do not do the 180 degree view justice. We stayed for 4 days and rushed back from Yellowstone each day to sit on the deck and watch the sunset.
Great place to stay. Very clean and we appreciated the little extras. My only suggestion is to provide more towels and better pillows. We loved all the wildlife we saw and the friendly neighbors.
Even though it was out of the park it was well worth it. Beautiful view overlooking Henry lake and quiet. The house was perfect with everything you need or want. Will definitely come back. Thank you for the wonderful vacation!
Myself, husband, sister, and two year old stayed here for three nights as part of our trip to visit Yellowstone. It was in the perfect location to rest! It was roughly 15-20 minutes drive to West Yellowstone and the west gate. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood with limited traffic. It was a great stop for us to rest and recharge after three days through Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. The house had all the amenities needed from bear spray, bug spray, shampoo, kitchen utensils, and coffee. We loved our stay so much we actually wound up staying one more extra night. It is the perfect place for our family and we highly recommend it to anyone!
The cabin was clean and comfortable, and just far enough away from the business of West Yellowstone while still being very accessible. We loved watching the fox and her pups each day!
This property is the perfect location to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons (we drove in two days to YNP and one to the Tetons). The property is clean and well-maintained, has everything you need, and the view is actually more beautiful than the pictures. It is a fabulous property. We would definitely stay here again.
I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay! It was wonderful! The location, views and wildlife were amazing! We enjoyed watching a fox with her 6 kits and several moose from the deck. The home was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Perfect place to come back to after long days exploring Yellowstone. Quiet and beautiful location. Very peaceful and away from the crowds. We are already talking about when we can get back to Henry’s Haven!
Can't say enough good things about this property. Exactly as described. Clean, comfortable beds, and lots of little extras that made our stay perfect. Not far from the west entrance of Yellowstone, yet remote enough to avoid the crowds. Enjoyed stargazing at night on the porch and watching moose in the mornings from the living room window. Property owner was excellent in communicating with us via email prior to our stay, including offering detailed directions and access information. Would definitely love to stay there again if we are ever back in the area!
Great!
The house, property and view was fantastic! We enjoyed the front deck for coffee before kicking off our days in the park and then returned to the deck to star gaze in the evenings. The kitchen was really well stocked and the owners allow renters to leave food items so that’s extra nice! Very quiet neighborhood so if you are looking to be close but not too close to people it’s a great option. We really enjoyed our stay!
The view from the house was incredible The house was clean, comfortable, and very accomadating.
Our family of four (two adults, 16 and 13 year old) had a wonderful stay at Henry’s Lake Haven. It is a wonderful place to stay for visiting western side of Yellowstone Park. The home is spacious, full of amenities for cooking meals, and the view from the deck is beautiful. We purchased groceries and a cooler/ice at a Wal Mart in Idaho Falls (we flew into Salt Lake City). It was great having breakfast on the deck, packing a lunch for the park and coming back to cook dinner. Saved $$! There are grocery stores in West. Yellowstone that we stopped at for a few items. We loved the time we had at The Haven, our only regret was we weren’t there longer. (We moved to the Canyon Lodge to visit the east side of the park. Here the food options are limited and we missed the space we had here). Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed this property. The home was lovely and even bigger than expected. The location and views were top notch. We enjoyed every evening out on the front deck, watching the sunset. We never saw animals other than birds and the cows on the drive in/out, but it was still beautiful. A short drive to the west entrance of yellowstone. We happened to stay during one of the hottest weeks of the year and the home did get warm during the day (we didn't stick around though so it was fine), but it cooled off plenty at night. Communication was great with the host and the owner and check in and out was a breeze.
Absolutely fantastic stay for exploring West Yellowstone entrance. I would definitely recommend. The scenery was beautiful, saw a moose multiple times outside of the cabin, clean, and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again.
Very clean and quiet! Fishing was great and the views were magnificent! Loved this home and the location!
