Loved staying at this cabin. Our kids (18-24 yrs) loved having the pool table, etc. especially since we had a few rainy days. The kitchen had plenty of flatware and silverware. It was also fairly well stocked with pots, pans etc. so that we were able to cook meals all week. Spotty cell service, but the Wi-Fi worked great and having cable tv and availability to streaming services was nice. Also loved being able to bring our fur babies! We would definitely stay again!
We booked this property for a number of reasons. But, 2 of the 3 bathrooms were in the same room, the fitness center was inoperable, had a stereo system with no speakers, and it took me 5 hours of IE and AF errors to do 1 load of laundry. Besides that, the house was quaint and cozy. The location was nice wirh an ingels market nearby. Loved all of the trees and the overlook to the river. Would recommend that someone spend a little time and work out all of the problematic issues.
The location was perfect between Lake Lure and Hendersonville. Plenty of things to do. The house was great. Already thinking about staying again.
Loved the place. Right in the middle of all the places we wanted to visit Nice house with lots of room.
Place was exactly as advertised Perfect location for what we wanted to see and do in the area Paul was easily contacted and helpful Don’t know if we will get a chance to visit the area again but if we do we will try booking here again.
We had a good stay. The location is private and secluded. Good size for a family
The house was spacious enough but the overpowering smell of mold or mildew or something was awful. I've done at least 5 loads of laundry after returning home including washing the backpacks and duffle bags we packed our things in. My leather bag captured the odor and 2 days later has not aired out. Location was good enough but hard to see the number from the road. The wifi was impossible to get on so I'm glad I brought my own Hotspot. The random appliances all over the counters made it virtually impossible to make a meal as there was zero counter space. We enjoyed a few games of pool but the sticks were very used and in poor condition. The piano bench and chairs at the table were falling apart. The sofa was also broken but still usable. Overall clean aside from the odor. Would not book there again.
The home is private, surrounded by woods, up a steep driveway. It was just the type area we were looking for. Check in was easy with the key located in a lock box opened by a code. We were minimally disappointed in the home, but not enough to call the manager. (We don’t like to spend our vacations complaining, nor meeting with repair people). The things I wished were different - our grandsons, weight lifters, were looking so forward to the workout room. The cables on the weight machine were so messed up, we didn’t feel comfortable using it. The treadmill was a hit. Also the games shown in the pictures were a big draw for the teens. But the air hockey didn’t work. We did play pool and enjoy the board games. The sofa was as appeared in the pictures but one end had no support, at all. Luckily, one of the grandsons thought it was a hoot sitting in “the hole”. The day before we left, the water had a brown tinge. Not sure what that was about but it suddenly turned the toilet bowls brown. We had purchased water for drinking and cooking. There are 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. The surprise was, there is a hall bathroom and TWO bathrooms off ONE of the bedrooms! If, like my husband, you like a really firm bed, you will love the beds. The welcome book is hand written with multiple things scratched out and written over, and some incorrect info written by previous guests. It was confusing and an updated book would be very helpful.
We will definitely visit again soon…. Very cozy and beautiful home and area. Close to everything in the chimney rock-lake lure area
Overall, fun place. Convenient to places we enjoy visiting.
We enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for all 5 of us. We planned to prepare our Thanksgiving meal there and the appliances worked well. Our beds were very comfortable. The location of the cabin worked well for us. It was close to Lake Lure and an easy drive for us to get to Hendersonville. We were very comfortable there for our visit.
There was a really bad mold smell that took a few days to get used to. We had to buy some candles to be able to get through that smell. It certainly was not a game changer but was uncomfortable for the first few days.
It was ideally located for our needs and allowed us a little oasis away from the hubbub of activity. Loved it !
Paul was super helpful and responsive and an overall nice guy. Location is great and spacious
