Helmsburg Homestead Historic Log Cabin in Nashville Indiana

Everything about our stay was wonderful! The house was lovely and offered a perfect balance of peaceful seclusion and proximity to town. We found the reading room incredibly cozy, the sunroom game table ideal for puzzles, and the fireplace provided a cozy ambiance for relaxing in the evenings.

Love the swimming hot tub!! Conveniently close to Brown county state park and Nashville!

By far the best experience we have encountered while vacationing. Let’s just start with this historic cabin, warm and welcoming with a little bit of everything to enjoy. Our host was very informative and if we needed anything, she was quick to return a reply. We were very grateful for the five star hospitality. There were free range chickens that my wife absolutely adored, a swim spa to relax in that neither of us had experienced before, we enjoyed the firepit for smores, arts and crafts such as coloring in the sun room, and a relaxing movie night.

This quaint cottage was a perfect location for a weekend of exploring Nashville and would be perfect for exploring Brown county State Park. My friends and I enjoyed that it was 3 minutes from downtown, which allowed for easy access but you were able to escape it all. The swim spa was a clear highlight! Would happily stay here again with either my friends, or my family as was also well suited for children.

The setting was as described and shown. It's wonderfully close to everything. We loved the property and chickens. The host was sweet and informative. It is a cabin, so spotless hotel room it isn't but the charm and feel well overshadowed the rural dust, bugs & critters.Would definitely stay again!
