Heart of Tampa/Ybor/7th Ave

The home was flipped very nicely and the decor inside was okay. Pictures did it justice. However in the neighborhood was in the middle of the slums. The main reason for this review no hot water the entire week of our stay. The owner simply said sorry for the inconvenience. The home is located in a very bad part of Ybor even though the city is trying to reboot itself. We are accosted daily by homeless people at the church right across the street or halfway house? There were people sleeping on the steps and made us very nervous coming in and out in the evening with our family and friends. Just felt unsafe even with our vehicles. The main reason for the bad review is the unprofessionalism that the owner and manager of the home gave us not providing us with hot water for the week and then fought us on a refund through Expedia and VRBO. However we did get our money back. In fact that she called us freeloaders and Liars to my wife and guest was unappropriate and unnecessary. We are professional adults who are in town for a convention at the center. We chose her place on pictures only. And we'll make sure that we verify the neighborhood and stuff going forward. But not having the hot water all week and her not offering any refunds discounts and simply saying we were lying not appropriate. I recommend staying away. Few other things th AC was lock in the hallway at 68°. I understand its Fl. But night the house is freezing,
