Our guests tell us time and again how they travel the island searching and exploring different beaches but find that ours is the BEST on the island, by far. They say that they should have stayed at the rental to enjoy our beach the whole time. LOL! They LOVE coming home to our beach!! We say, "You got GOOD taste!!"
With this in mind, our 4-bedroom beach house is located on the Northeast Shore on the island of Oahu. Situated in a small and friendly local town, where everybody knows your name. Private access to white sandy swimming beach, known only to the locals. Disney movie with Even Stevens filmed right here on location. Ask your kids, they'll know.
What's the difference, you ask
Well, the 'size' is. The 4BR home sleeps up to 10 comfortably, depending on size and age.
Where else can you find paradise fit for the whole family !
We are two houses away from a secret white sandy swimming beach, a favorite spot for the locals in the area. Depending on the season, you may encounter various sea creatures that are protected under the Endangered Species Act. While we cannot guarantee this wonderful experience during your stay with us, the most recent sighting of the Hawaiian Monk Seal was in March & August this year on our beach. The Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle and the Hawaiian Monk Seal are very commonly sighted on this beach. During the winter months you may be lucky enough to witness, 300 to 400 yards from the shoreline, the Humpback Whales, as they migrate through to their next destination.
A little further down the beach is a local favorite surf spot, Pounders. We are also minutes to famous attractions such as Polynesian Cultural Center, Kualoa Ranch, Chinaman's Hat, Haleiwa Town, Turtle Bay Resort Health Spa and Golf Course, just to name a few.
This renovated, large two story, 4 bedroom beach home has a full kitchen and 1.5 baths with two reserved parking. With your one Lazy Boy Recliner Loveseat & one Sofabed (for use if needed with an additional fee), you'll want to stay indoors and watch television equipped with a home theatre sound system. However, the sound of the surf, mingled with the delicious aroma of bbq cooking on the grill will draw you outdoors.
The upstairs master bedroom suite has a king sized bed with magnificent ocean views and vaulted ceilings.
The full kitchen includes everything you need to prepare a lavish meal. All you'll need is your chef skills and the right ingredients.
We are surrounded by mesmerizing sunrises and sunsets with cool, tropical ocean and mountain breezes. We are only a short stroll away from one of the most gorgeous beaches on the island. Private, yet well-known only to those fortunate and familiar with the area, we are situated in a cul-de-sac just steps away from the private entrance to Alligator Pond, as it is fondly called. It is there that you can swim, snorkel, fish, body board, boogie board, sprawl out or snooze to your heart's content... (but don't forget the sunscreen, if that's the case:)
You can return home to the convenience of our outdoor, cold (rinse off) shower. We also have a laundry room with a full size coin-op washer for your personal cleaning needs. An outdoor area where the adults love to relax around the barbecue, a huge park close by for the kids to run around and play. Be lazy and sit around the oversized lanai and front porch. Soak in the tranquil and soothing air as you relax while taking in the beauty of the mountains and coconut trees swaying in view.
You can relax and unwind, sipping mai-tais near the beach or take a scenic drive to Haleiwa Town at the North Shore or Windward Mall in Kaneohe. Either way is only a 30 minute drive. Walking distance, across the street, is our grocery shopping store, some eateries and our local post office. You'll find everything you need just minutes away. In addition, the Circle Island bus stops just several feet away to whisk you around the island, if you desire.
Of course, down the road, on the way to Haleiwa, or even in the other direction, you'll find more lovely beaches to surrender to.
If you're looking for something off the beaten path, tired of the crowded beaches and the hustle and bustle of city life, this is your calling. Keep in mind, Waikiki is only an hour away.
This will definitely be a down-home local and truly 'Hawaiian' experience.

This home was so nice for my family of 8 to stay for Christmas. There was plenty of room for all of us and the accommodations were comfortable. The covered front porch had plenty of seating and a table an chairs, and a clothesline for hanging our wet stuff. The beach, just steps from the house was beautiful and had perfect sand. We loved swimming there. The only downsides were the coin-op laundry and one shower (the shower is very nice and updated- and there is an outside shower to rinse off after the beach, but we had to plan out our shower time). I would stay here again!
We loved the property and would stay there again. Having only one shower for 10 people was pretty tight but we made it work!. AND the internet was a big problem for us. We had to go to Laie for that. But again we made it work. It was quite and relaxing.
Basically on the beach, near stores, house was good, furniture a little outdated, loveseat you can feel the springs, upstairs master bedroom was great but no shower or tub, listing did not specify, downstairs bedroom with king bed needs new mattress.
Location was amazing. Hosts were great! Incredibly helpful and responsive. Thank you so much for the sand castle kit! You made our stay amazing. Alligator pond is beautiful- perfect location for a 6 yr old boy to snorkel in a tide pool. Loved the decor and the hilarious rules book. Only complaint is there were 2 beds that were pretty uncomfortable. Would recommend and stay again.
It was a very nice family vacation! It was really nice having 4 bedrooms and having a house literally steps from a beautiful beach!
A homey spot right by a lovely beach without crowds. Nice big porch for hanging out in the warm Hawaiian nights and having family dinners. A little dusty here and there :) definitely not for resort types but for those looking to unplug (slow Wi-Fi) and live like a local. A little bit restrictive with all the house rules :) host accommodating and friendly.
This was a great spot to stay. The beach was so close and it was one of the nicest beaches that wasn’t crowded. Our family had the best time and it was just down the road from the Polynesian cultural Center. Most rooms were very comfortable. Mahalo

Clean house, was plenty of room for 7 of us. Great communication with host. Short walk to the water. We enjoyed our stay here.
Our stay was awesome. The owners were eztremely nice and great to work with. It was everything as described and what we hoped for. We will stay thereagain when we return.
This was the ideal location for access to the beach before and after other activities. As was listed on another review, internet access is poor. But that is not necessarily a disadvantage to getting away. The property is clean, the owners are friendly and accessible for check in, check out, and any needs or questions. Our family which included children, senior citizens, and young adults totally enjoyed our stay. This location is casual, fun, close to the PCC, north shore, and a fun drive either direction.
Great communication, wonderful host, really made us feel like family, even arranged for an extra parking space for us. Only downside was spotty cell coverage but that's kind of the point of unplugging in the country. Many thanks to Geri and Ke'alii
My family loves the North Shore! We go to Oahu to escape the crowds from Southern California. Nothing is better than the lush scenery and laid back lifestyle of North Shore. Hauula is perfectly situated - and this home js right in the heart of the little North Shore town and right off the beach. Longs Drugs and a grocery store are immediately available, food trucks and local restaurants close by, the Polynesian Cultural Center just down the way, and waves rolling up in the beach within earshot. I have kids ranging from 21 to 3 years of age - the water here is great for snorkel and kid safe play. The house was well appointed with fans in every room, beach towels, dishes, AC (did I mention AC?), a grill, and the upper room is a great big room for escape. The hosts were super cool - coming to check on us if needed and only a message away if something was lacking. Thank you for being so kind the entire week we stayed! A note for the overly “connected” person - cell signal and internet are weak in this area - count on making a quick jaunt to Laie if you need dependable signal. But unplugging is part of what North Shore is about….. set that phone and laptop down and go get in the water!
We brought our children and grandchildren to Oahu and stayed in the Hawaiian Dream home and it really was a dream. Great Hawaiian beach house, great rooms with everything we needed. The porch out front was wonderful to sit and enjoy meals and games. Best of all we were right at the beach, a very private beach. This beach is gorgeous and has a reef area perfect for the children. They snorkeled and saw so many colorful fish, played in the waves and built sand castles. We rarely saw anyone else. The owner was close by and was there to greet us. We booked a year in advance and communication was really good the entire time. I can say enough about this fantastic house, the perfect location and the great beach! We had a blast! Thank you! We can’t wait to go back!!
Our family of 10 enjoyed living like locals on the north shore. Super close to the ocean. We loved it.
