Stayed Aug 4, 2025Property was well suited to our needs. There was plenty of space for my children, wife and in-laws. The setting was peaceful, relaxing, and accessible. I would stay here again if my family returns to the OP.

Stayed Jun 18, 2025We had a great stay at this home while exploring the Olympic Peninsula. The view outside is excellent, and the house had plenty of space for our group of 4. We were also easily able to drive to Port Angeles in 15-20 minutes to get food and could easily get around to Lake Crescent and Hurricane Ridge. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed May 28, 2025We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home with stunning ocean views. The peaceful surroundings, combined with the sound of waves and birds each morning, made for a truly relaxing retreat. The home was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with a washer, dryer, and dishwasher that worked perfectly. Its central location was ideal for exploring Olympic National Park, with Port Angeles just a short 15-minute drive away for groceries and supplies. We also loved visiting Salt Creek Recreation Area, only 10 minutes away, where we soaked in breathtaking coastal views. The host was responsive and accommodating, ensuring everything was seamless throughout our stay. If you're looking for a serene getaway with all the comforts of home, this is the perfect spot. We’d gladly stay here again!

Stayed May 24, 2025we went to Port Angeles from Texas to meet our new grandson. We wanted to rent a home, so that we could all stay there and spend quality time with each other since we live over 1,000.00 miles away. The home was so beautiful, the beds was so comfortable we didn't even want to get up. The scenery of the ocean was beautiful. There was a hummingbird that was there every day. The weather was awesome compared to the heat in Texas. Wished we could of stay there longer. I would rent this house again.... love love love this house!!

Stayed Nov 15, 2024The interior was homey and the floorplan worked well for our stay. Unfortunately, the exterior has been very neglected. The deck and the outside table are so deteriorated that can't be used. The tree branch at the entrance was so overgrown that it was difficult to drive through without scratching my vehicle. This property could be so much more beautiful if more care was given.

Stayed Oct 19, 2024This was a wonderful spacious home in a beautiful private setting with an amazing view ( when the clouds cleared ?). It made a great base for all of our adventures around the park. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen is huge, and had everything we needed. Just a great place to stay!

Stayed Sep 18, 2024We loved our stay here- peaceful, clean, awesome deck with views of the water, wide open kitchen with everything we needed to cook at home, laundry was a great bonus. As with most properties on the peninsula, it is a ways from Port Angeles so you just need to think ahead for groceries or if you want to eat out. That's why I gave it a 4 star for location. The deck is so awesome we had breakfast and dinner at home often. It is centrally located for Olympic National Park attractions. The peninsula is huge and roads are rural so no matter where you stay you'll have to drive.

Stayed Sep 3, 2024There were four of us getting together since last fall. The house was perfect for us. We loved the view and the privacy of the location. Our only complaint was that the knives in the kitchen were in need of an upgrade. Most of them were steak knives and dull.

Stayed Aug 14, 2024The views from the deck and main rooms of the house were magnificent, especially sunrise. The house sits up on a bluff so you can see Canada when it's clear. One morning, we had a bald eagle fly right over the house. The house is in the country west of Port Angeles. The area was very quiet, away from traffic or city noise but within 10-15 minutes of grocery stores, etc. There was a glitch with the code access on our arrival, but the rental service called us back right away to fix it. There was also a mishap with floor cleaning in the turnover before our stay that they sent someone out to fix the next day. I would say the host was responsive to our needs, and the cleaning person they sent out was lovely. The host includes a pair of pretty decent binoculars which was great because I once again forgot ours. There is a well-stocked library and I assume the TV works great, but we never bothered turning it on. The picture windows provided enough entertainment for us!

Stayed Jul 6, 2024Hart’s Desire has a beautiful view and lots of room. It is close to Olympic National Park and Port Angeles. The lower cleanliness rating was given because of a few issues upon arrival. We believe, based on other reviews, that it is usually very clean. The property manager has offered to refund our cleaning fee to rectify our situation. We recommend the following places to visit: Hurricane Ridge and the Hurricane Hill hike, Sol Duc Falls, the Hoh Rainforest trails, Cape Flattery, Rialto Beach at low tide, and Butchart Gardens in Victoria, B.C. We are sure you will enjoy the home, gorgeous setting, and, hopefully, visits from deer!

Stayed Jun 24, 2024The views from this home were even better than I had anticipated based on the photos, and the property felt very peaceful. The beds were comfortable, especially the pillows. The home was spacious, with high ceilings and plenty of room in the common areas. I appreciated the fast and thorough communication of the hosts. The only thing we were lacking was a good cutlery set in the kitchen. Overall, a fantastic rental that we would not hesitate to return to.

Stayed Jun 11, 2024Perfect for quiet getaways with family or reconnecting with a spouse, we had a great time at this property. We spent 5 days here in Port Angeles as a launching point for ONP before taking the ferry to Victoria and on to Vancouver. The 15 ish minute drive from town to the house was gorgeous and wooded, with a great view of the mountains. Coffee on the porch each morning listening to the birds and watching the water was the best! I didn’t move from the deck until 2 the first afternoon it was so beautiful. All the normal amenities were provided and completely sufficient to our needs. Hosts were wonderful and communicated well with us when needed. I would stay here again the next time we plan on visiting the area — and I do plan on returning again. There’s a ton to do.

Stayed Jun 17, 2024This property is situated beautifully up above freshwater bay on the Strait of Juan Fuca. It’s incredibly peaceful and quiet. A deer visited our yard each day and the bird song from the deck is lovely! We had the best time visiting tide pools at freshwater Bay, hiking Sol Duc and Marymere. We visited the whole rainforest and Crescent Lake. We went whale watching and took the ferry over to Victoria. It really felt like the trip of a lifetime and the incredible beauty of this property definitely added to that feeling. This house is laid out really smart. The incredible picture windows face all the outdoor natural beauty. The mudroom is situated just right for coming in from Olympic Penninsula adventures. It is stocked well.

Stayed May 26, 2024The home was clean and comfortable. We had all the space we needed to spread out and enjoy our time together. The home is located on a beautiful setting with a view of the water. We saw an eagle and a deer and various birds. We were so pleased and would definitely come again!
