Hart’s Content: Deep Water, Private Dock on Lake Hartwell, Kayaks & Paddleboards

It was great.

Great relaxing vacation. I am 1 week from having rotor cuff surgery and was not able to do much. Almost canceled trip when found out about surgery but decided to go as planned.So glad I did! The house was great. Views from porch very nice all day long. Everyone said beds were comfortable. I slept in recliner and it was too. Docks was the main place we stayed. Highly recommend. Host was wonderful to work with. Even was planning on staying an extra night but could not work it out on my end. Host gave me the option right off. Such a blessed trip

It was great overall but could use a good cleaning. All the sliding glass windows were dirty, kitchen was sticky on cupboard sores, kitchen window was filthy. We looked for some window cleaner but there was none in with the cleaning supplies etc. However that being said the host was super and check in was great and easy. It was a quite nice space for family. We LOVED the screened in porch, fire pit and bbq. Thank you Shawna

Very comfortable and relaxing home, clean, well stocked and outfitted, nice private wooded lot on quiet cove for swimming and kayaking, easy boat access to main channel. Stephanie/host was easy to reach, responsive, clear communications, and helpful with suggestions. Don’t miss the wildlife safari 5 minutes up the road, tons of fun for older kids and adults. Great for our extended 3 generation family week at the lake. We fully recommend.

This property has a great location, close to the water and the fees a spacious dock, kayaks, fire pit, and a great screen porch. The pictures don’t do a full just - the dock was expanded and has a wider area, the kitchen has newer appliances and the fire pit looks even better than the one in the pic! It is a fantastic lake retreat location.

Our family really enjoyed this lake house. It was just right for 10 people. Both bathrooms were very spacious and the kitchen was equipped with everything that we needed. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch and the fire pit area. It was great having two kayaks and two paddle boards at the property. We were able to float in the lake without having to worry about boats or jet skis getting too close to us. We were very fortunate to enjoy beautiful weather too.

This was our 2nd time staying at this property. The proximity to the lake, space for our family and the screened in porch are huge factors of us returning this year. The owner is great and communicates in a timely manner. The only thing that would be helpful is for a 2nd fridge/freezer in the garage.

We so enjoyed this long weekend! A beautiful home with a lovely view of the lake! We had a few with mobility issues that couldn’t make it to the water more than once, but the kids LOVED the dock and used the provided kayaks for a lovely afternoon on the water! Thank you so much for giving us a good place for a weekend family celebration. We hope to stay here again!

The house was wonderful and the view was spectacular. Very peaceful. We rented a pontoon boat from the local Marin and it fit in the dock space perfectly. We would definitely recommend.

Oh my, what a relaxing spring break. Met up with our English friends of over 25 years and had a blast. Listing was just as described and the lake view was AMAZING!! Thank you Stephanie for a brilliant vacation.

We enjoyed our stay so much! Views from the house, screened porch, fire pit and dock were incredible. The kitchen was well thought out and we were able to do our cooking at the house each night. It was a relaxing weekend with weather that was unpredictable but the house made it a wonderful stay regardless of weather! Thanks so much for having us! We hope to come again!

A beautiful place to relax by the lake!

Great lake view over looking a nice boat dock with a swing and lounge chairs for relaxing. Has a screened in porch overlooking the lake. It was very peaceful and tranquil! The house was equipped for everything we needed and enjoyed grilling out back. If you bring your hummingbirds feeders, they will come!! Enjoyed our stay.

There’s a reason they call it southern hospitality. Beautiful property, and a beautiful lake! One of the nicest hosts we’ve ever met.

Cannot complain about anything..other than the weather lol. Perfect place to relax and just enjoy the lake!

Our family had a fantastic week! We enjoyed our time on the screened porch and the dock. The house layout was perfect for us and had everything we needed to prepare meals during our stay. We brought our boat and the nearby boat launch was convenient. Stephanie was easy to communicate with during our stay.

We just returned from our stay in Reed Creek at this wonderful hidden gem of a house. The house was lovely and very clean. The location is quiet, and mostly private. (The houses on either side are set back and mostly hidden by trees.) The lake view and the dock are amazing! The house is stocked with everything you could need from kitchen equipment, to information about nearby restaurants and activities. Corresponding with the owner, Stephanie, could not have been a more pleasant experience! I could not recommend this house and location more, and we can't wait to go back!

We had 6 adults and 4 children ranging in age from 19 months to 11. We loved the bonus room with the 4 twin beds for the older kiddos. The back screened in deck was the perfect place to enjoy coffee in the morning and let the kids play before heading down to the lake. The views are gorgeous. Stephanie was great at communicating and very quick to respond. We would definitely rent from her again.
