The inside of the property seemed to be clean to the eye, but the outside of the house needs some work. Rotting wood on the house and stairs. There was damage to the pool edging and the pool jets were not moving water so the pool seemed extra hot. The hot tub was the only circulating water that trickled down into the pool. The umbrella for the patio furniture was found down in the mangroves with one of the arms broken. We brought our own canopy so it was no big deal. The harbor entry areas were over grown with mangroves and covered with stinky grass and seaweed. We tried to remove the grass as much as possible to get our paddle boards in, but there was just too much accumulated. We noticed that the neighbor’s sea wall did not have any of this accumulated. It would be nice to have a ladder on the dock to get in and out of the water if the entry points are too hard to keep clean. The team was easy to work with.
Our family loves coming home. Thanks for everything
Great location, pool/dock area a huge hit. Enjoyed being able to bike/walk everywhere. Very helpful and responsive to questions, etc. Top notch.
Our family of 5 stayed for a week and had a great time! We loved the location and enjoyed fishing off the newly repaired dock. Caught a bunch of fish like snook, snapper, pinfish, and reds. The pool was great just super warm in July. We loved going shelling at the beach especially at Blind Pass. Wish the house was a little cleaner and the kitchen needs to be better organized. The management company was very helpful and sent a service guy over immediately when needed. We had a great time!
Excellent location....very convenient to beaches, restaurants, and shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Awesome vacation spot!!
We enjoyed our stay at the Harbour House. The only area that needs to be improved on is the kitchen. Your team members were very helpful and kind. They made sure to check on us and provide us with anything we may need. When we needed someone to come repair the jacuzzi they sent out a repairman right away.
Haorbour House never disappoints. This is our second year in a row staying here. The location is perfect. Beds are super comfortable. Pool area is a private, tropical oasis. The living room is nicely appointed but was rarely used as we spent most of our time on the giant screened porch. Perfect for watching kids swim while enjoying the view of the waterway. It’s just a short walk to the village for dining and shopping. We rarely felt the need to go anywhere as the home had everything we needed. We LOVE this place and will definitely be back. It’s always a pleasure working with this company. Rental process is easy and hassle free. I was always able to talk to a friendly person with questions before our stay. Check in and out was simple and convenient.
Besides the small issues, our stay was very enjoyable. It is a beautiful island with lots to do. The house was perfect for my family with 6 adults and 3 children. They loved the pool and the beach, a few minutes away by walk, where they could collect seashells. A great location and we will certainly come back. Sue was exceptional. She answered all our small issues and made our stay very enjoyable.
House in need of: Burned out lites Showers that work Grab bars in ALL Showers Shutters between bedrooms that close Poor dim lighting
If you are coming and plan to bring a boat to the dock or fish, be advised the dock is severely burned and the boat slip occupied with a boat that is taped off. While the fire happened months before our stay, I was advised of this day of arrival. The garage is also being used for storage, in the event you needed to put anything in there during your trip. The property manager was pleasant and tried to be helpful to remedy the situation, I was frustrated to learn on the last day of the trip to learn from locals the dock damage was done in December and I was not advised. You can Google for news stories about the circumstances of the fire. The house in general is fine, shows normal wear of a rental, and the location would be quite good, if you didn’t get a house in a Captiva on the water to enjoy the dock or pull your boat in the slip....I would advise that you call ahead if you have rented this house so you may get a different place until this is remedied (I saw no evidence during my stay of planned repair). Unprofessional situation that should have been laid out at the end of 2018, not the day of arrival.
