MAIN BREAKDOWN! Many guests have inquired, so we feel this should be front and center. We purchased this home to host multi generations. There is a master king with a no step walk out to the patio with the amazing lake view. Right down the hall from this master king is a full bathroom with many accessibility features for older generations. This setup of features is great for the older parents or grandparents!

Through the same hall is the entry to the study or trundle room, which then leads to the stairs for the upper multi bed loft. This is perfect for the younger generations or grandchildren!

Then the magic happens where there is a main highlight focus master king loft with it's own full bathroom and the best view in the house overlooking the lake. This gives the middle generation which are often busy working parents some time to escape if they need it due to work focus or other responsibilities all the while the grandchildren are connected to their grandparents downstairs for lasting memories! You can probably tell this is the owners escape as well! :)

There is 3 steps up the front door to entry the house and a wide 3 step landing into the garage kitchen door entry which will have a grab bar soon (2024) for the older generations. All of the doorwall sliders which open to the patio with the amazing lake view is on the main level with no steps.

The house was well kept, orderly, and well equipped with everything you would need for entertaining adults and children alike. The property was amazing and the views from the deck and the beach were absolutely beautiful. The property manager was extremely helpful and provided all necessary details before the checkin process. He was also very responsive throughout the entire stay, and provided tons of additional information on things to do in the local area. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay with a great property manager and amazing views, I highly recommend staying here.

Great property with fantastic Lake Michigan sunset views. House was equipped with everything to make the stay enjoyable. Jason provided lots of information about the house as well as the surrounding areas. He was quick to respond to our inquiries. Loved having beach access!

We went because we knew the area was beautiful. We discovered the house was equally beautiful. The bedrooms are designed for sweet dreams, the deck for morning coffee and sunset viewing. The kitchen is top notch with first class amenities. Jason was a superb host who obviously cares for his guests and his home. We wanted for nothing except for a longer stay.

Sadie’s Vista met all of our expectations…this home very clean & welcoming on arrival. View from deck of Lake Michigan is spectacular and only about 200 steps to beautiful beach. We trekked down at least once daily… totally worth the effort! This home had everything we needed, and Jason is a great host. Would definitely reserve this home again.

Sadie’s Retreat is spectacular! The location along the Tunnel of Trees is unmatched, and the home itself is beautifully designed with an updated kitchen, spacious layout, and spotless cleanliness. The beds are very comfortable, and the full wall of sliding doors opens onto a deck with breathtaking views of Lake Michigan. We enjoyed unforgettable sunsets, watched bald eagles soar, stargazed, and even caught the Northern Lights.Jason is a fantastic host—welcoming, thorough, helpful, and always responsive. It’s easy to see why every guest gives this stay a “10.” We couldn’t agree more!

Jason is a great host. The house was very clean. Kitchen is well stocked and beds comfortable. The view from the deck is great. We had rain while we stayed at his property so did not get down to the beach as much as we would have liked to.

Jason, the owner, has put his heart and soul into this beautiful property. He was very communicative before our stay and throughout it. A welcome basket greeted us in his beautiful kitchen, complete with popcorn, coffee, a local bottle of wine and cookies. We have a big family and the kitchen accommodated all of our needs and then some. He built the massive stairway leading to the beach from the front deck with his own hands. Such wonderful craftsmanship! The bathrooms were so pretty and thoughtfully designed, too. The home is updated but maintains its cottage-type charm. The house has puzzles (we finished a 1,000 piecer!), board games, magazines and books. There's a wonderful big screen TV to watch a movie or a game once the sun sets. Located on M119, Michigan's famous Tunnel of Trees, the winding roads and expansive Lake Michigan are a treat to explore each day. I imagine it's especially beautiful in the fall. The only thing I wish is that while the location is beautiful, it is further out from the action and to local conveniences like the grocery store. It was a solid 20 minute ride to Harbor Springs and 40 minutes to Petoskey. But if you are planning on staying put through more of your trip than our family, it is paradise! And really, it was not a huge deal overall. It is my hope we can come back to Sadie's Retreat for a fall trip to soak in all the autumn foliage with the sounds of waves lapping as our backdrop. Thank you Jason! It was an A experience!

A Harbor Springs cottage with all of the best amenities, right on Lake Michigan… we thought it was too good to be true! Alas, this rental is everything it promises and more. Most of all, we loved the updated and spacious kitchen and the stunning views! We’ve been renting in Harbor Springs through VRBO for over 15 years, and Jason is the kindest, most-helpful and attentive host you will find! We left feeling like a family guest rather than a renter. Highly recommend!

We were absolutely thrilled with this house. Private beach access, plenty of bedrooms and space, and the kids loved the games and ping pong table. The kitchen was well stocked, and everything was very clean. We used the fire pit on the beach 2 evenings, and it was truly magical to watch the sunset and then look at the stars. The 200 stairs were totally worth it, and there are plenty of places to stop and take a break, if needed. Jason was a wonderful host, too! Very responsive and helpful the whole time!

We had a spectacular stay. The house was just as advertised, perfectly situated on the tunnel of trees (M119) with great views of Lake Michigan. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of firewood for the wood burning fireplace. We had great communication with the host and appreciated the proactive approach. We hope to stay again in our future travels.

Jason made our stay special and stress-free from start to finish! Starting with excellent communication and clear instructions how to access the property and take advantage of the great amenities we knew we were in good hands. My wife and I wanted to share northern Michigan with her parents traveling in meeting up with my parents from South West Michigan and this home fit the bill well. Great things: - The home feels like you are staying at your friend or relatives house not a vacation rental. It feels like Jason cares about this property and it showed with the numerous details and quality furniture through. - The location is right on the Lake Michigan Lake Shore and features stunning views from several rooms in the home. - New, spacious, well-appointed kitchen that feels like you are cooking in a well-to-do friends home and we loved this aspect. - Private staircase to access a very secluded beach. (loved this but 200 stairs, so you earn it :) - Communication could not have been better! Things to know: - There are lots of stairs that are difficult for those less mobile. With our parents it was difficult to go up and down in the house to the two bedrooms upstairs (separate small staircases) - 2 bathrooms can be tough for 6 people - The location is beautiful but know that you are about 20-25 mins from Harbor Springs Overall, we loved our time here and would absolutely stay again for our next trip! Thank you again, Jason!

Had a wonderful stay. The setting is beautiful, right on M119. Beautiful view from deck and living/dining room. House was perfectly clean. It had everything we needed to cook a couple times during our stay. First floor bedroom worked well for elderly mom. Would love to go back!

My vacation time is precious, so I choose carefully. The home is wonderful. Pristine. Great kitchen. Most of all: the Deck. Blue water out to the horizon with breeze. Views of Beaver & Fox I. Occasional eagle. and daily hummingbird. We had a new moon so the Milky Way shone bright. Lots (!) of steps, though in good repair, leading to a nice beach walk I've been doing my summer vacations on The Lake for 30 yrs or so. Jason is the friendliest host ever. Checked up on us a few times.
