Charming Kee Ranch historic landmark, peaceful, wildlife abounds, honeymooners, nature and bird lovers' dream. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway! Step back in time when you arrive at this 3-bedroom 1 and 1/2 bath built between 1865 and 1869 fully restored with some added modern amenities. This rustic Victorian farmhouse is idyllically tucked away on a hill yet within a 2-minute walk to the Bay and restaurants. Please note if you are expecting a luxury home, this is NOT for you.

The Harbor Kee Ranch is located in Bodega Bay and has 3 bedrooms with 1 and 1/2 baths. The entire house is surrounded by a picket fence with 3 latched gates. There are about 4 steps to get to the entry door. To the right is the main bedroom located on the first floor where you will find a full-size bed (not a queen-size bed since the room cannot fit a queen-size bed so please keep that in mind) with a free-standing closet. This bedroom has access to the main bathroom through a door connecting to the other side of the bedroom which also has another door that opens to the kitchen. There are 2 windows one with views of the bay and the other has a view of the backyard with lots of mature trees. To the left of the entrance door is the living room with a comfy blue sofa and loveseats. As you walk through the hallway you will see the simple yet fully equipped kitchen with seatings for 4. Please watch your step as you enter the step-down kitchen floor. The main bathroom is located to the right of the kitchen. To the left of the kitchen are the laundry room and a 1/2 bath. As you travel upstairs there are 13 steps to reach the top floor with 2 bedrooms.
Please hold on to the handrail for your safety and watch your heads as you enter the bedrooms. On the right of the upstairs bedroom is a full-size bed with windows that offer beautiful bay views and greenery. Across the way, we have a queen size bed. Both windows in the queen-sized bedroom have great bay views and backyard views where you watch wild turkeys, various birds, and deer come by to munch on the fresh grass in the yard. If you wake up early you will encounter deer visiting right outside. You will hear all kinds of nature sounds from the blue herons and other songbirds to the wild turkeys here. It is quite a unique place to get away and be close to nature.

*** A 2-night stay minimum is required on the weekends.
*** We welcome well-behaved pet dog weighing 50 pounds or less allowed with a $100 pet fee per pet per stay. Maximum of 2 pet dogs. Must let the owner know before booking because some of my guests are allergic to dog and we do require a pet fee for the extra cleaning. If you bring a pet and not let us know you will be charged accordingly.
*** As fitting with its 1800s time period, this historic Victorian farmhouse has smaller rooms that can only comfortably accommodate a maximum of 4-5 guests. ONLY registered guests are allowed on the property.
Bringing extra guests without the owner's prior written permission is a violation and the guests may be asked to leave and the reservation will be canceled.
*The surrounding area is very rustic and we try to leave the wild animals alone. Some red-winged blackbirds can be aggressive and protective of their young babies.

***Wi-fi access is available 24/7 but not 100% guaranteed. There is a Wi-fi extender located in the living room. So the best reception will be near the living room area. We have YouTube TV and you can login to your own Netflix account with our smart TV.

**** Security cameras are located only outside of the property for the safety of our homes, guests, and neighbors.

***** Sorry no outdoor grill of any kind is provided since we don't want to disturb the nesting wild birds and herons. However, you may bring your own electric or gas grill if you like to do some outdoor grilling. Sorry, no charcoal BBQ, please.

***** Also check out our other property, The Harbor Cutie Family Friendly Centrally Located, a popular escape for families with young children just down the same street with an amazing panoramic bay view.

Also, the single home across the way from the Harbor Kee is available for rent. Please search the Harbor Heron for more details.

This property is a lovingly restored farmhouse from the late 1800s. It maintains its sense of being from an earlier era while having enough updates to make it comfortable for us in this current era. Located on a hill above the main road, it is quiet and peaceful, with nice outdoor spaces for humans, quail, turkeys, and more. We really enjoyed being here!

Cozy, comfortable, historic cottage in beautiful shaded location with view of Bodega Bay. Well appointed kitchen and bath, very comfortable furniture. Pleasant fenced yard/patio and east parking. Wild turkeys and hummingbirds present. Didn't see the deer, but their tracks were evident. Pleasant, helpful host. Great stay!

The house backs up to a Eucalyptus grove. A trio of wild turkeys regularly visited. The house was comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We booked this place as a homebase to explore Bodega Bay, Bodega, and Occidental for a Hitchcock lover's birthday weekend. The property was easy to find and absolutely charming! It had everything we needed for two couples and a small pup to enjoy for the weekend. Walking down to the foggy marina or along the road in the morning was magical and we loved the fenced in area for the dog to hang off leash. The smell of eucalyptus greets you when you walk out and there's a lovely view of the harbor.

My teenage granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It feels a bit like you’re going back to a simpler time with everything you need but nothing fancy. The home was clean and perfectly peaceful. We listened to the birds saw a bald eagle in the trees next door heard a great horned owl, deer came through alongside some wild turkeys. I would definitely stay again. The Smart TV was able to provide some great Netflix movies while we did a few art projects together.

We had such a lovely time at Harbor Kee. The farmhouse reminds me of one in which I spent many happy times as a child. The location was perfect for our hikes to the bay and Bodega Head, and over the dunes to the beach - as well as getting to Fishetarian and The Birds Cafe, which we love. The yard was so quiet and peaceful and a wonderful place to hang out and watch the wild turkeys. To our amazement, we also were fortunate enough to see a pair of bald eagles in the tree across from the property! It was a once in a lifetime experience!

We loved the historic feel of the house. The yard was so cool with wild turkeys and deer walking through. Mature trees, comfortable rooms, nice fenced in yard for our dog, laundry available. We could hear the sea lions and the fog horn. We enjoyed our time here!
