We booked this place because we liked the photos, especially the sunroom. However, we didn’t realize how cold it would be, and when we tried to turn on the fireplace, it simply didn’t work. With two engineers in our group, we tried multiple times, but no luck.Aesthetically, the space is very nice. The bathroom and kitchen are modern and well designed. This place looks like it was slipped as there are also lots of wears and tears. The bedrooms, rely on a single heater/AC unit located in the hallway to warm three separate rooms, which isn’t effective. It would have been much better to have individual units in each bedroom. The bedroom with red wallpaper felt like an icebox The kitchen was modern and well equipped for preparing light meals, and there’s a decent-sized fridge in the garage area. The host also left New Zealand cookies for us, which was a nice touch. One thing future guests should know: this was our first time booking through this host, and we didn’t receive any responses through the platform after booking. I eventually had to call VRBO support to contact the host so we could get check-in instructions in advance. Since we’re traveling in New Zealand for almost a month and aren’t familiar with how this platform works, we wanted to have everything printed and ready. Thankfully, VRBO was helpful and the host did provide the check-in details, so everything worked out in the end.
