Hancock Cottage by the Sea

Lovely location and home! Very clean! Great views!

House is fine, one bathroom for family of 5 was a bit congested, but the absolutely beautiful property, coastline, and views were the star of the show. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

Our time in Hancock was wonderful! The house was extremely clean and comfortable for our family. We enjoyed hours on the waterfront and the deck. We grilled and cooked every night and enjoyed the fire pit on most nights. We also took advantage of the books, movies and games that were supplied by the homeowners. We especially loved observing all of the wildlife in the area. Everyday we had an awesome sunset, amazing eagle sightings and were visited by a little gray seal. We hiked many trails in Acadia and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise on top of Cadillac Mountain. Thank you to Ron and his family for opening their home to us. It allowed us a much needed break from our hectic work schedules. We would definitely recommend this lovely, remote home to any family looking to spend some quality time together. Our family spent a week in Maine. There were seven of us -- two adults and five children ranging in age from 4 to 17. The place is very comfortable and quiet. The only challenge is only having one bathroom, otherwise, it was perfect for us. In the mornings, there is nothing like going down to sit beside the water and watch the gulls flying by or see the seals floating and hear them splashing in the water. There is a Bald Eagle that frequents that part of the bay and can be seen as well. It is about 50 minutes drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia and we did that drive a couple of times -- once to visit the park and once to go whale watching. Overall, we loved our visit and very much enjoyed the property!

We had a wonderful stay and loved being able to sit by the water every morning and night!

We had an amazing stay at this cottage by the sea! As soon as we pulled in and saw the water views we knew we had found a hidden gem. One of our favorite things was watching the seals come up to the rocks by the house each day. We enjoyed roasting s’mores outside at the fire pit, eating breakfast on the deck and stargazing at night. The house was clean, well stocked and felt like home. You can tell the owners take great care to make sure that you have a comfortable stay. Ron was extremely helpful and was quick to help us with anything we needed. We would definitely return to this property again!!

Neighbors were snorting out on the water all day eating fish and doing seal things. Plenty of cell phone reception to accomplish all the family games and activities for the time we were there. Had enough cell phone reception to plan the next days activities too. Wonderful time, thanks Ron and Tom

We had a great week at this property. It was a week of total relaxation. The home is well stocked with everything you need....just bring yourself and food. The inside is so open and the back opens to a gorgeous view of the water. We saw all types of birds, including eagles and even saw a few seals swimming by. Although there is no wifi or cable, my teenagers didnt mind it. They found plenty to do. They enjoyed climbing down the rocks at low tide and exploring. There is a fire pit outside that we made use of too. We did drive to Acadia a couple of times that week but we enjoyed just relaxing by the water. The owner was very helpful prior to our visit with answers to our questions and gave us his number if we needed him. All in all, it was a great week.

We’ve stayed at this house for two trips and the house and property are tremendous. Great views of the water, including lobster boats, sea life, and rare birds. The house is clean, comfortable, and a great place to stay.
