Stayed Jul 26, 2025Perfect. As pictured and described. Beautifully maintained. Clean. Well stocked. The deck is a nice space to sit and read, or eat with your family. The bedrooms each sleep 2 comfortably. Note the loft is open to the living space (as pictured).Short walk to Tunnels beach. 16 minute drive to Hanalea. The communication with the staff was *great* and they provided us calm and correct guidance on how to evacuate during the recent tsunami warning.Recommend highly.

Stayed May 22, 2025My wife and I took our two twenty-something kids to Hawaii for a family vacation, including visit to Kaua'i. Hallor House was perfect for us as we needed at least two bedrooms, preferably with separate beds for brother and sister. House was very clean and well appointed. Kitchen had everything you could want -- all high-end stuff. Property manager very helpful and accessible. House was super comfortable. Great lanai. If you are looking for a quiet, mellow, north shore get-away that is close to arguably the best beach on the island (Tunnels), this is it.

Stayed Nov 6, 2024This was a lovely home close to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Unfortunately the water was a bit rough to swim much this time of year, but we still enjoyed walking and playing on the beach.

Stayed Jul 18, 2024Wonderful chance to stay on island like a local! House was perfectly appointed, comfortable and close to tunnels beach. One of the most beautiful beaches ever! The set up with wagon, umbrellas, chairs and towels made all the difference. Sophia the manager is the best— made everything easy! We loved our stay and look forward to another visit in future!

Stayed Jun 1, 2024What an absolutely awesome little place. I had stayed in Kauai before but only saw the north shore from a helicopter at the end of my first trip. Made it a point to come back to Kauai and spend a week on the north shore. This house and this part of the island are what you dream Hawaii to be. Lush greenery everywhere with some occasional light rain coming down and dusting everything with life. Truly a dream. Will definitely come back again. The trail to tunnels beach is arguably hard to find but close. Apple Maps will take you there if you type in tunnels beach. It’s at the end of a small street. Parking is difficult at the lot down the road at the beach. You’re best to walk. The house has tubes, beach chairs, umbrellas, and everything you need to enjoy days at the beach. Book this house you won’t be disappointed. There’s really no need for a huge house on the island. Most houses are small. If I had the budget I would buy this place as a second home. I hope to come back again soon.
