The H Street corridor has a long and storied history in Washington, DC. First built in 1849, it became one of the city's busiest commercial hubs in the mid-20th century, then saw its fortunes decline after the riots of 1968. Since 2000, the area has been the scene of a remarkable revitalization that has attracted many of DC's young professionals and families to make their homes here. Today, H Street features a vibrant nightlife, some of the city's best restaurants, and the family friendliness of Capitol Hill, DC's largest residential neighborhood - all just blocks from the US Capitol, monuments, and the heart of the city. We love living here, and we're sure you'll love visiting!

Getting Around:
Parking: Secured off-street parking in the space that's available directly on the property at the back of the home. It can fit up to 1 mini SUV.
METRO: The closest stop is at Union Station. The easiest way to get to the Metro is to take the free DC Streetcar, which stops steps from your door and takes you quickly to Union Station. Or it's a lovely 20 minute walk on a beautiful day in the city.
Bus: The closest METRO bus stop is only steps away at Maryland Ave & 14th Street NE.
Bike: DC is a great biking city, and the Capital Bikeshare program (www.capitalbikeshare.com) makes it easy to rent as many bikes as you need on an hourly basis! The nearest station is two blocks away, at 13th and H Streets NE.
Uber/Lyft: Uber & Lyft response times are generally less than 5 minutes in the area.
Lime, Bird, Lyft, and Uber JUMP scooters (and bikes) are readily available on nearly every corner of the city wherever you can find one, find & rent them easily using their app and your smartphone.
Walking: DC is one of America's great walking cities - it's truly small enough to see on foot if you have the time! We're about a 30 minute walk to the US Capitol, and just beyond are the National Mall and the monuments...
Property is exactly as pictured and described. Great communication with the property manager. Location convenient to DC public transportation. Very clean. Comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen. Definitely would stay again.
Large and lovely...super comfy beds and great restaurants nearby! A lovely home away from home as we celebrated the wedding of our dear friends ...
The place is very nice but there are a few improvements that are needed to make it great. First, when we first entered the house, it was quite warm (78 degrees); we had no instructions on how to adjust the AC to lower the temp. When we finally found the thermostat, we could lower the intended temperature but the AC unit did not respond. So we spent our stay with warmer temperatures then we wanted. An adjustable AC is a must during a hot Summer like this one. Also, there is a garage available to park your car - a very nice perk! Unfortunately for us, there were cars blocking access to the garage on two occasions - leaving our only alternative to park on the street illegally. We informed the property manager but there was little they could do about it. There is a master bedroom and bath on the bottom floor which my wife and I used. The bathroom is very nice although it is small. The lights above the sink did not work so our only source of light was the recessed overhead light in the shower. The medicine cabinet above the sink protrudes from the wall and makes it challenging to use the sink. Better lighting above the sink and a recessed medicine cabinet would make a very positive improvement. The Kitchen is very nice and has all the necessary kitchen amenities. The living room has a TV with access to streaming services like Netflix - the furniture is attractive but not real comfortable. Despite these items, its a very nice place to stay and I recommend it.
Beginning with a very smooth check in, our family was pleased with the quiet neighbourhood and convenient location of this home. The parking space and garage were especially handy after a day of sight seeing in DC. Comfortable beds and everything we needed! Thank you!
We had a lovely stay. The home was was well appointed and was clean and updated. The location was great and we could walk to a few restaurants or a short drive to the the museums. The couch and chair were very stylish but not very comfy. But overall a great home and definitely would stay again.
