Stayed Jul 11, 2021While our vacation, overall, was great, we were disappointed in the property. The pictures are from at least 2-3 years ago, before Hurricane Michael hit. I know this because the pictures showed lots of tall shade trees in the backyard, and there are actually none (bc of the hurricane). The house has a good floor plan, but the paint in the outside looks like a kindergartner colored it, the carpet is stained, and the pool was dirty and never cleaned the entire week. Additionally, the lights in the pool did not work (we booked a place with a pool so that we had something for the kids to do at night; no lights, no night swimming). We asked maintenance to come look at the lights. They did so after 2 days but only repaired on light, so we still never got to enjoy the pool at night. We will be back to Port St. Joe, but not to this property.

Stayed Jul 5, 2020Pool was extremely dirty, outdoor furniture missing, couch cushions soiled and torn, mold on vents, dead bugs and cobwebs everywhere, king bed was broken and had to put blocks under it to use it, broken deck furniture, missing tiles on inside main staircase which were a trip and cut hazard, Grass was two feet high In certain areas around pool, oven door was broken,. Management did get the pool cleaned finally after 3 days and sent some new deck chairs and furniture covers but this was the most disappointing booking we have ever had through VRBO. The pictures online must have been from 10 years ago because all the furniture was worn and dirty with leather peeling off the cushions, and giant stains on the fabric. Won’t ever stay with this management companies properties again! After meeting with the manager to try to get reimbursed or moved to a new property (none were available due to 4th of July weekend) they only gave us the cleaning fee back! It was a stressful and horrible experience for what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation from our high stress jobs! Don’t stay here unless you want to spend your arrival day cleaning and covering furniture with sheets!

Stayed Sep 4, 2020Pros: great location, about a block from the beach. Large house with plenty of room. Great for two families or one large family. Three master type bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms, and two sitting area/dens. Kids bunk bed room on ground floor. Large fenced in backyard with private pool. Two large decks on the second and third floor front of the house, with a little bit of an ocean view from the top deck. Cons: While the house was clean, the property was generally not in the best shape - stains and spots on carpet, missing floor tiles, marks on interior and exterior walls, decks in need of sealing (wood is dry and lots of splinters), dead trees around the property that need to come down. The view on one side is an RV that the neighbor has parked permanently on the adjoining lot, and across the street is a vacant lot with piles of debris. Not a dealbreaker, but just detracts from the overall enjoyment, and obviously none of this shows in the photos. Also FYI the grill is a charcoal grill, not gas, so if planning to cookout, bring charcoal and lighter fluid.

Stayed Aug 30, 2019The pullout sofa on the 2nd floor needs to be replaced, it is very uncomfortable as you can feel the springs pushing through the mattress. There was also mold on the shower curtains in more than one bathroom. There was obviously damage from the previous hurricane which was to be expected but I feel like the bathroom shower curtains could be cleaned better. The bunk bed room is on the first level and the bedroom door would not stay closed, which resulted in an extremely hot room for the kids to sleep in. Overall the house was in great location, had plenty of boat parking and met the needs of our stay. The kids loved the pool. We did go buy a doormat to have just inside the entry door because the tile floor was extremely slippery after getting out of the pool.
