Gulf Side-Walk to the beach, great views, pet-friendly - Boa Vista

Path to beach over dunes was a nice walk and beach access was easy. Gulf can be see from the fenced porch with a gate at the top which was great for the dogs. . It was almost a full moon when we stayed and the moonlight lit up the beach path beautifully. Cozy and comfortable home!

The property was clean and our pets enjoyed their first beach visit. A little walk to the beach but nothing major. Watch out for the cocklebur bushes. We enjoyed resting and relaxing.

What a lovely get away. The communication with the property manager was great. I let them know upon arrival that I noticed the side door had a broken door knob and one of the bedroom doors appeared to have damage, they appreciated it and offered for maintenance to come by. I said to wait until I left. The house was the perfect size. My senior dogs had a difficult time with the outside stairs due to them being open between each step, but I figured it out. There are great restaurants close by and the Dollar General isn’t too far which had more grocery options. I will say I kept thinking how nice it would be to live down there!

Wonderful dog-friendly cottage, exactly as advertised. The beach is a five minute hike through the dunes, but for what you get, the location is perfect. We will probably try Boa Vista again in the future!

Overall a good place. The walk to the beach wasn't bad. It was clean and they did provide a few things to get you started, coffee filters, paper towels, etc. Hot water was abundant despite 6 people showering back-to-back everyday, which is a huge plus.They definitely need to purchase a spatula and pizza cutter for the kitchen. My four-star rating is mainly because the A/C could not keep up. We would set the thermostat to 67, kept the blinds and doors closed all day and it was still often 73/74 degrees. A/C likely needs some maintenance or the unit is just not large enough for the house.

The neighborhood was wonderfully welcoming, filled with smiles and laughter, perfect for families. The home exuded warmth, immaculately clean and inviting, with cozy furnishings that made you feel right at ease. Just a short stroll away, the pristine beach beckoned with its soft sands and gentle waves. I would unquestionably return for another delightful stay.

The house was clean and mostly renovated. The new deck is very nice. The accommodations were average, with lighting and places to store clothes for a week stay sparse. The dryer did not work, although the owner refunded us $100 for the trouble. Several of the ducts had mold around them due to water dripping and soaking the sheet rock; humidity is always a problem near water, but it was due to the type of duct work, which needs to be replaced. The house was not as close to the beach as we wanted it, and the kitchen was not as equipped as we would have liked it, with odds-and-ends available for cooking, as well as things like more than two coffee mugs. As everyone has said, be sure to take extra paper towels, detergents, etc., as you will only get starter amounts for a day or so. It's a quiet area during late September, as we expected. I would recommend this place if you're looking for some quiet time and don't plan to eat out or shop much at all, plus you don't mind a good 10 minute walk to the beach.

We had a fantastic time at Boa Vista. With just a two minute walk to the beach, we were able to easily get back and forth to the house. The place was well air-conditioned, clean, and had everything our family of five needed for a three day stay over Memorial Weekend. The beach was so quiet, too. There were mostly just families and couples spending a relaxing time near the water. Perfect family vacation! We will be repeat customers, for certain!
