Gulf Getaway | Pet-Friendly + Short Walk to Beach & Private Pool

The home has one of the best equipped kitchens ever, the views are beautiful, rooms as described. The pool was in desperate need of chemicals and was unusable as was the rusted bbq. They did shock the pool but were unable to get the heat pump working because parts needed to be ordered and a new bbq pit was delivered. We were compensated for not being able to use the pool the entire week we were there. The sofas need help, the refrigerator was undersized for the capacity of the house, but the response to fix the broken towel hooks was quick. The decks are lovely. We had 4 kiddos under the age of 4, and a dog, so a gate at the top of the stairs would have been a plus. Parking was adequate for 3 cars. Overall we were quite pleased.

It was a very nice house. We had 7 adults and 9 kids and had plenty of room. Pool was amazing!!!

Everything was perfect!

Gulf Getaway was a perfect place for our family (8 adults and 5 kids). When we arrived, the home was exceptionally clean and modern, the kitchen was stocked with all the dishes and items needed for meal prep, the pool was perfect, the lower pool area had a large tv and ping pong table, and the gulf was only a short walk away. The area is very quiet and feels very safe. The home has four bedrooms each with its own bath which was perfect for individual families like ours that consist of our three grown daughters, their husband and young children. The primary suite was amazing with a double shower and balcony overlooking the beach. There is no doubt that enjoying the pool was our favorite activity at this rental. Having a 1 ft area in the pool was perfect for our little grands and the ledge lounger chairs in the shallow end made the perfect place for me to enjoy watching them play. Martin was very communicative during our stay concerning all things about check-in and check-out. I highly recommend Gulf Getaway for a fun family vacation! In July, the beach was not overly crowded and was very quiet. Spending time together is the focus of our annual family vacation so sun and fun was our main activity, but we did explore Fort Morgan State Historical site which was only about 10 minutes away. The local Dollar General was also adequately stocked with all the food items including fresh produce and was only about 5 miles away. If your family is looking for a great beach vacation, Gulf Getaway is the place for you!

We stayed in Gulf Shores, AL at Gulf Getaway. We've stayed at this property before and absolutely love it! A pool has now been added, along with an outside television and other activities. It was perfect for our family vacation. The house itself is so spacious and beautiful! We will be back!

Great secluded location for a family getaway. House and host were awesome!

We had a wonderful time! The pool was a hit with both the kids and adults, and the beach was easy to access. The home was very clean and comfortable.

Our family spent a week at Gulf Getaway in September. We were able to check in just a little early which was nice after a 12 hour car trip. The house was easy to access. We loved the view from the beach house, and the easy access to the beach. The ocean was crystal clear with minimal waves during our stay. We also saw some dolphins from the front porch of the house. The shinning star of this house though is the pool. We spent so much time at the pool, and enjoyed eating lunch by the pool. The pool also has lights so a night swim is a must! the kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking utensils we needed including a keurig, air fryer, pots, pans, and enough dishes to feed the whole block. There was also plastic dishes to take to the pool and use for our toddler. We love the Fort Morgan area for its calm and quiet atmosphere. We did bring a small dog to the house, Fort Morgan’s beaches are dog friendly. The small dog was a little bit of an escape artist while at the pool, he could get out between the pillars and fence area. A medium to large dog would not be able to do this. The stay was perfect, and we will be back.

. The pool in the back was amazing and the entertainment area by the pool they provided was perfect. It was great going from the ocean to the pool with the kids daily. The decks were amazing for hot summer days because they offered an amazing breeze and a view of the ocean. The only down fall ( no fault to the owners ) was the sand flies that were biting after the sun would go down. If you go do you homework on protecting your family from the bites while outside , they are horrible. I didn’t really know anything about them before going so giving a heads up to others. The beds were clean and comfortable. Mattress seem new and no one had any complaints. The kitchen was the star of the house. Had EVERYTHING you could imagine and more. The only item I did not see was a crockpot. It was very spacious and plenty of room to cook for multiple people. There was a big storm the morning of trash pick up and the maintenance man drove by and put my trash cans out for me. I had not asked him to but he said because of the lightning he figured it would be scary for me to go out there. After 3 hours of leaving the home I realized I left jewelry in a drawer. I called and they took care of getting it right away and worked with getting it shipped to me. My point is the customer service was top notch. It is a house that is rented by different families weekly so it isn’t perfect but they did a great job making it clean, stocked and made sure your needs were met. We would recommend!
