Gulf Front Beach House with Sunrise & Sunset Views | Sleeps 12

Rented house. Close to beach. House east of our rented property had a walkway open for large property across the street to enter beach. Numerous people disregarded that walkway and brought their fishing wagons thru the property we rented, and had fishing poles all along the beach front!! Didn’t want our view of ocean blocked by beach fishermen!!

Location is fine on W Beach Blvd. Home is really a large condo...small kitchen, small eat in area. Bedrooms are cramped. Best part is outdoor deck. However, a couple stools were broken and dangerous. Unit was not cleaned thoroughly. Shower in master is TINY. And I mean TINY. Not updated at all. I cleaned the whole house upon arrival. Dirty floors, dirty dishes in dishwasher, hair everywhere. People from condo across the street cutting through our backyard and using the beach access was annoying. This place would be fine for a small family. Not good for a large family with adult children.

We are a family of 8 - age range from17 up. We had a wonderful family vacation at Marilyn’s cottage. The location is far enough from the main strip/condos that we had plenty of space on the beach but were close enough to shopping and restaurants if we wanted to go out. The kitchen is well appointed and the grill has been updated and large enough to cook a meal for 8. Would definitely stay here again.

The location and ocean view is beautiful. The house was fine for the week. There a few quirky things with the house, such as tub not draining and the door functions are a bit wonky... but overall, the property was homey, tasteful and it had all the amenities that you would need. Walking right out to the beach was fantastic and I would stay there again.

We gave the rental a lower mark for cleanliness because there was broken glass on the master bathroom floor when we arrived. Shower door on main level did not close and the barbecue grill was terrible. Definitely need to purchase a new grill and utensils. Location was wonderful. So close to the gorgeous Gulf.

For the house and beach— 5 stars across the board. It was absolutely perfect. We loved going to the beach, swimming and watching dolphins swim by. A little miscommunication with the property manager on check in time and ensuring the property was ready. But Rebecca stepped up to help resolve. We plan to return.

We enjoyed our stay. We were worried the kids would not like not having a pool but it was actually great. It was nice not having to go back and forth from beach to pool. They were well entertained at the beach with one another! We will definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing time at this property. The house was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for 6 and then some. We especially liked the deck and balconies, the bathrooms for each room, and the close proximity of the house to the beach, literally 60 steps from the deck to the ocean water! We also liked the shower/hose off area at the foot of the deck stairs, and our own little sandy pathway to the beach. There were tons of beach toys available including boogie boards, chairs, and sand toys. We loved to location and uncrowded beach. The weather had been forecast as stormy for 4 days due to a tropical storm, however only the first day was heavily raining and stormy, and the rest of our week long stay was sunny and beautiful! We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great week at Marilyn's Cottage. Perfect weather all week. There were a few things that might seem minor, but were needed. There was no dishwashing rags available. The lights on the steps leading to the beach and downstairs were not working. Several people fell on the bottom step of the first landing due to a short step and no light at night. Could have had a terrible outcome. Overall, the home satisfied our week at the beach!

We had such a great time! The house was perfect for our needs. We had our 4 children stay in the bunk bed room (upstairs), mom and dad in the master (upstairs) and grandma in the bedroom downstairs. Each room had it's own bathroom. Views from the entire back of the house. It was breathtaking! The house is literally RIGHT ON THE BEACH! Heavenly... We will be back!
