It was fun. We had to walk a street over to the beach which wasn't bad at all! It was a fun time.

First the good - the location is nice, it's a short walk to the beach despite the beach access being closed on the road this house is located on, you have to walk over a street, which isn't too bad. You're 1/2 mile from town, and 1/2 mile from West End Beach Park. The place is reasonably large, wirh a large wrap around deck, some views of the ocean, you can hear it. The condo is well stocked with cookong and cleaning utensils, but no salt and pepper, etc. The shower outsife under the house is great to use after the beach. That being said, the house is old, so there are places where Florida's state birds can get in, although it appears they're keeping it well treated for that. There are weeds growing around the house have small burrs that will stick to your pants, socks and dogs coat. It would be much nicer if they maintained the yard around the house a bit. The beds also need work, the queen seems small and very soft and has no headboard, but the the metal bunk bed in the other room is just plain bad. The top bunk squeaks very loudly when the person occupying it moves even a light bit, and for us, that was just a small child. The bottom bunk is so close to the floor you'll be worried about what can crawl up on you. The two couches in the living room did not fold out, so i dont see any way 6 adults could sleep in here. For a family of 4 with very small children, it's doable. With upgraded to the beds, this place would be a lot more comfortable.

This was our first trip to Dauphin Island and the beach house was wonderful. Plenty of room, air conditioner worked great, great water pressure in the shower, and the beach was a very short walk. Check in was great and the welcome binder in the house was extremely informative. No problems at all!

My husband was going away on business trip. So I decided that my fur baby and I would make a trip to Daulphin Island. This is in an area we wanted to check out to see if we would be interested in future trips there. It was a very nice area, and we enjoyed our trip!
