You can fish alone or make arrangements with our house guide service, Trout Tales Fly Fishing (trouttalesflyfishing.com). Ideally, guides should be booked as far in advance as possible.

My family of 4 stayed at the beautiful On the Fly Ranch. From the moment we drove up we knew we picked the best ranch for us to stay at. The sunset views were amazing on the sweet porch and all the little touches when we arrived were just perfect. The ranch gave our family the opportunity to have beautiful homebase while we explored all the Montana had to offer! We will return to relax and recharge!
What a special place - we made wonderful memories here - everything about our stay was lovely. The bunkhouse is so cozy and the property is incredibly lovely - they have thought of everything and we can't wait to return.
The Bunkhouse was better than advertised! It was so nice and accommodating for our family of 5. We loved the bunkbeds, comfy and fun. Duane provided fishing recommendations which were helpful. The book in the cabin gave great advice on where to eat, grocery shop etc. The area was peaceful and well landscaped, very relaxing! Highly recommend this VRBO. We will be back!
Very quiet & peaceful
The Bunkhouse was the perfect blend of beauty and comfort. Located just close enough to Bozeman and Big Sky for nights out, shopping and other activities. Back at the Ranch breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for rest and relaxation. Whether we were casting a line, riding horses, rafting or hiking - we were never far from the comforts of the Bunkhouse. Our family of 5 felt right at home during our stay, the Bunkhouse is thoughtfully stocked and tastefully decorated. We truly loved our time creating memories in Gallatin Gateway, and as a guest of On The Fly Ranch. The hosts were spectacular.
Wonderful property, great location, awesome hosts! If I could give 6 stars I would!
Stayed for 2 weeks, no issues at all, host communication excellent etc.
The perfect Montana ranch experience! We’ll definitely book this again! Thank you!
Extremely well furnished for a very comfortable stay that feels like home on a gorgeous property. Very quiet and peaceful with easy proximity to Bozeman and Big Sky.
In all respects, the property and owners/managers were terrific, exceeding our expectations.
Our family of 6 (2 parents and 4 teen children) enjoyed our stay at the Bunkhouse. We loved its location and the peace it provided. Each day we prepared breakfast in the cabin before heading out on our daily adventures. The Bunkhouse was close enough to Bozeman and Big Sky to visit each for activities/dinners. We spent 1 day at Yellowstone to see the sights and it was an easy drive. We also learned to fly fish, hiked to Lava Lake, and rafted the Gallatin River. Our family especially enjoyed the 3 dogs that came to visit every day!! Great location (close to places) but secluded to enjoy the beauty of Montana.
Lovely getaway - beautiful home and fantastic accommodations.
The bunkhouse was perfectly placed in the most gorgeous surroundings of lush green grass, snowy mountain peak in the distance and majestic horses on the property! The bunkhouse is beautifully outfitted and the front porch is a favorite spot to take it all in. Duane and Michele were gracious and helpful hosts. Our family of 6 couldn’t have asked for a better home away from home! Many Thanks, The Crane family
The Bunkhouse is perfect in every sense. Beautifully decorated, pristine, and a luxury stay. We easily drove to Yellowstone west entrance from here. The host was very helpful and accommodating. You will miss out if you don’t book it!
Everything was as described. Beautiful location. Very peaceful setting. Property and hosts were first class all the way. Definitely would go again in future.
