Welcome to Groovy - A Birdy Vacation Rental
When you walk into this Vacation Rental it's almost like stepping back in time. You can almost hear the 70's music playing, so don't forget to pack your latest Tiger Beat magazine, those corduroy bell bottom jeans. Wait until you see the wallpaper! Almost everything in this home is original, except of course the beds. They're the popular Zinus 12" (Tea Tree) Pressure Relief memory foam mattresses. This home is conveniently located to Loop 1604 and I-35, so it's quick to get out and on the road. Oh, and the pool out back is worth the price of admittance.

The home itself is lovely; there was plenty of space for eight adults and a four month old. Everything was fairly well-maintained, including the swimming pool. The home was not well stocked with supplies (like toilet paper, dish washer soap, and kitchen towels) but the owner did have someone stop by to drop those items off soon after receiving our message. The group agreed that we would be interested in staying there again in the future!
Awesome property Great for a large group. Very clean and decor was awesome.
Great place, tucked away in nice, quite culdesac. Centrally located near shopping and lots of restaurants, to include fast-food and coffee shop. My grandkids loved the pool.
Inside of the house was exactly as the pictures depicted. What you see is what you get. On the other hand, the pictures of the exterior of this house are extremely misleading. There is almost nothing resembling grass at this house, and it's not due to the Texas heat as neighbors had green grass and this house has an in ground watering system. It's just an absolute lack of care put in by the property manager. The pool hadn't been given even a surface skimming of the leaves by the cleaning crew, and the After we spent our own time our first evening there cleaning what we could out of the pool, we still couldn't get everything scraped off of the bottom. So the next morning on day 2 we asked the property manager to either give us a partial refund (since we were essentially paying money at this house to be their pool cleaners) or have someone come clean the pool. They elected to have someone come clean the pool, so that also resulted in a 2 hour period in theiddle of a 95 degree Texas day where we could use the main feature we rented this house for. The pool cleaner did what he could for the pool, and acknowledged it needed a deeper cleaning. The backyard also has some kind of berry tree that had covered the concrete around the pool with smashed berries, as well as completely covered the patio table and chairs which for some reason were placed under said tree. So the patio set was essentially unusable as it was covered with smashed berries, both on top of the table cover and under it. You had to scrub your feet before coming inside or you were going to skip on the tile floors inside. The backyard grass itself was at a whole other level. There were leaves covering the ground that had obviously been there for months. Covering the ground, in the pool, covering the bushes. There was also essentially no grass in the backyard, so that resulted in a ton of mud being tracked into the house. The picture of this house are horribly misleading, so if your plan is to take advantage of the backyard, I'd look for another house. If you want a great big interior space and the backyard/pool isn't important, them this is a great house for you.
